Guys just wanted to give you the heads up that I will be soon listing an item on ebay that I cant be sure is what I was lead to believe.

I have a 12" C3PO that I bought in Japan at a well known dealer in Nakano. It has no gold plating and has more than likely been stripped. It was sold to me as an item that had been taken by an employee and never had its metallic paint applied. He has quite loose arms as you can imagine it would having a layer less of cover and has areas where the glue has not adhered part together. This was the reason I was told that it never made final production.

IMO it has just been stripped of its metallic outer paint layer.

I know we as a community do not like these fakes, however, if I was to sell it as a "custom prototype?", would anyone think less of me for attempting to sell it?

I certainly wouldn't think less of you for trying to sell it on ebay listed as a "custom prototype" to get initial attention. Perfect, that is what it will say provided nobody else has a major issue with the listing !?!?
