| Hi all, I know there must have been threads like this before, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have another one. I was looking through my figures and there were a few with strange quirks or idiosyncrasies. I have this Nien Nunb, this is a tough one, but see if you can spot anything odd about him : This Lobot has Lemon Yellow hands: Do you think these left the factory like this? I don't know anything about custom figure building but was under the impression tht these things were sonically welded? Is it possible someone just did this to Nien Nunb for a laugh? Also, with Lobot, I understand that there are subtle paint variations, especially as many of the figures were handpainted but this just seemed an odd one? Again, I was wondering if you guys think this is something that someone has done or if this was done at the factory? I also have an IG-88 with an undersized arm and a ANH Leia that was never welded together. (And probably a few others. Anyone else? -J |

| The Nien Numb couldve left the factory like that. I had a Hammerhead recently that I thought might have been a proto slip by the seller, but after looking closer it had 2 right legs. And considering who the seller was, I know it wasnt a fake error piece. As for the Lobot, not sure on that |

| The paint on Lobots hands can do funny things, it either goes all flaky or it turns a funny colour. Just a case of shit paint and an old toy really. |

| I guess the Nien Numb could have left as a factory mistake, but it isn't very hard to replace a leg. Sometimes if it's shitty done the "plug" on the inside breaks and stays within the figure. If you shake it is it something in there? Also it looks like heat damage from maybe a heat gun on the other leg. Dunno why someone would do something like that though |

Yeah, I thought it might just be paint degradation. I have loads of figures where the paint has changed colour over the years. It's just a strange colour. I'd never seen one where a pinkish or orange paint had become a lemon yellow. (But that's certainly not to say that it's outside the realms of possibility.) If theye were supposed to be painted white it wouldn' seem so odd? |

No, if I shake it there's no sound at all. The leg also feels right; exactly like the other one. I tried pulling on it once in case it came out fairly easily but it doesn't. When people make customs do they manage to 'unweld' and 'reweld' the figures? (Or is it done with glue or something?) Not sure about the heat damage? They both look normal to me. It may be the photo? Or maybe I'm missing something? (Not unlikely ) |

| Sweet. I love figures with screwy limbs. I may someday try and do a complete set of figures with limbs that are wrong. |

Paul - Your just psycho enough to try and do something like that! It would probably go much better than your regular loose run! I think I might have one or two for you that would get you started (not counting the armless IG bootleg). |

Come on Serket, you know you want to part with it! Sorry chief, just trying the old mind trick on you, waiting for one to arrive at the moment with apparently no markings at all, not to confident, but just have to wait and see. I'll let you know if it is real. |
