A question, probably more for the Uber Ledy collectors out there, that I've often wondered.

When ever you see a short mouth sculpt Biker Scout for sale, it's always classed as a Liliy Ledy figure, how ever in both Stephen Sansweet's Star Wars Action Figure Archive book and also John Kellerman's Star Wars Action Figures - A Guide For Collector's book, they show a short mouth Biker Scout on Kenner cards.

Also while where discussing Ledy and books, does anyone know if there is a specialist book on Lili Ledy figures? I know there is the Meccano to Tri-Logo book and also a book focusing on Canadian releases. I know there are a Technical Cards for Bib, Squid, Boba and Jawa, just wondered if anyone ever did one on Ledy, especially seen as it seems to be God of all foreign releases.

Made in Mexico is the answer to the Biker Scout question.

Kenner shifted production of several figures to Mexico where the figures were produced and then packaged onto Kenner cards for sale in the USA.

"MIM" Cards are hit and miss on accessories though as not all accessories were produced in Mexico, so at times you will find Short mouth Biker Scouts on Kenner MIM MOCs with Kenner blasters and sometimes with real Ledy blasters.

As for a book- Not that I know of, several attempts at guides but nothing in paper form.

To clarify 100%-the figures are all exactly the same as "Real" Ledy figures. So.. when you see a Ledy figure for sale it might well be a MIM and not released on a real Ledy card but it still is a Ledy figure

There was an extra bit of insight on the packaging of weapons that Tom N (former Kenner employee) wrote up which helped to understand why figures were packed with Kenner / Ledy weapons but I can never seem to find it- if I do I will post it up.
