Two Canadians .... hunt never ends AJ... Out of curiosity - is there a pattern with inserts? I see cardboard and poly (plastic) trays... did one factory always pack with a poly trays and another use just cardboard, or is it random? |

| No joke- Chopper is local to me and a good egg. As most know very little leaves my collection but he ended up with my 'spare' Ledy & Motojet box. Sharing is caring |

| No worries from my end and not overly generous I wouldnt have thought (unless this is the rare $1000 variant and James ait telling me) !!! Just being able to contribute some info to the group for me is gold .... I am not overly fussed about getting EVERY box variant so if someone else gets more enjoyment and I get a similar TC or TJ for my collection then I am fine. PLUS this also means I can continue to bombard James's inbox with inane rookie questions on the daily !! |

| Hey, so been a while since I've posted here! Been working on a Speeder Bike focus as such, with mixed results. I've recently acquired a couple of incomplete Lili Ledy "bare metal, black eject button" engine bikes, one no COO, one Made in Macau (stickers removed but with some visible residue).
Question for anyone knowledgable, one has the 663-030 flap (this is the no COO bike), but the other has the single number "3" flap (raised bar Made In Macau bike). From reading this and other threads, both flaps may be found on Ledy bikes so could both be authentic and original, but it seems the distribution is wrong according to what I have found so far (neither COO is the "M over 83" version).
The thing that makes me a little concerned is that the Made In Macau bike is rather dirty (dust in every crevice) ... except for the "3" flap which is sparkling clean. Although, why bother with only putting one flap on, the bike still isn't complete? I guess just because it is "more" complete than with none? Of course it could just be a case of coincidence and it is an original part, but thought I'd ask here for a more expert opinion. The handlebars, seat and front are also six digit, which makes it seem to me VERY unlikely that the flap is an original part...)
Has anyone run into that combo before? (Lili Ledy Silver engine, black eject Made in Macau raised bar COO with "1" speeder flap)? Thoughts on this?

| I am very confident that there are no genuine exceptions to the part number 'rule'. The single digit flap is just wrong for your combo. I have encountered this 'mix up' before with a Ledy bike- single digit & 6 digit flaps on same Ledy bike but I suspect just like Jawa figures being swapped with vinyl capes, people did not realize things are not all the same. |
