| Hi guys. While perusing e-bay today, I came across an auction that was interesting. I know it's not kosher to "out" auctions, so I simply copied the text from the description to ask about it's validity. I've deleted some information so as to not show specifically what the auction is for, in case someone here is buying it. I didn't want to screw them over and let the world know.
Here it is :
Hello friends, you are looking at original vintage Star Wars figures. Each comes complete with original 1 quantity = 1 complete figure. I sorted through a large, unused supply of these figures and carefully chose only the best. About 95% of what I found were left behind. It is immediately obvious that they have never been used - every one still has that new figure smell like you just ripped it off the card! All have tight limbs with no paint wear. Buy 2 and be twice as amazed!
All items offered here were part of an unused factory overstock supply of vintage weapons and figures found in NSW, Australia. This is left over stock that never made it into public circulation. Guaranteed original vintage Star Wars and never displayed or played with. Collectors from all over the world have been buying these items for more than 5 years. Please email me if you have any questions.
But my question is whether or not this is legitimate? Has anyone heard of a find like this occurring in Australia? The auction sounds too good to be true, which in my experience means that it probably is. Just to note, the auction isn't for a super rare figure or anything like that. But it's curious that the seller stumbled upon this in this day and age.
Do you guys think this is legit?
Again, if this isn't ok to post like this, I will remove it immediately. I've tried to make it as anonymous as possible.
Tad

| That's fine Tad. Good to be cautious.
If i'm not mistaken that's "SuperDan's" spiel. It was a genuine find (quite?) a few years ago now here in NSW, & he's been selling the stuff for a while now, on ebay & RS. All good! |

| I Am familiar with this spiel, But it goes by a different name on EBAy, i asked (anon) and it's seems probible at least that it occured. I asked him where, and how many he ghas left, you'd assume he's run low by now yeah, indeed he's running low.
I have bought some rebel blasters from this person (if i belive it to be the same guy) but its not superdan BTW. And it passes all the drop tests, float tests, and looks completley geniune.
Just my two cent/ bob/ quarters.
Myles.

| Aussie and Tank have already said some of what I wanted to say but just to give perspective from a UK buyer:
I found Dan (just like every other Aussie I know) to be a top bloke.
I bought a number of Luke Jedi and weapons from him back in March 2009 when I was starting out on my Luke Jedi collection.
They were all spot on in terms of consistency: Pink Face Hong Kong Luke Jedi with Hong Kong Cape and Hong Kong Blue Sabre, etc. They were all unused and in excellent condition
I also bought a number of other blasters too and many of which were the earlier releases green-blue plastic etc.
Tad: If you’re looking for a nice un-played with Luke Jedi with Blue Sabre and want to make sure that all accessories are consistent, then this is the closest you’re going to get without damaging the hobby and ripping a blue sabre Luke from the a MOC.

| Lol AJ, well done. I spent over an hour looking for that RS thread for Tad. I'm pretty sure he's already pulled the trigger on a minty Luke Jedi baggie. |
