Hello,

I picked up this Yoda some years ago. I have always been unsure about the accesories that came with him. He has a light brown cane but is the brown snake version. Also the belt is different from my orange snake version ( has wholes on it and feels different etc ), the snake has a circle on its head and the COO is different.

If you help me out to explain the differences, much would be appreciated!
Here are the pictures........

You know, I expected a Wampa/Yoda hybrid when opening this thread.

Looks like a mismatched Yoda to me. Looks like a regular HK figure with the wrong cane. All brown snake yodas have dark brown canes. I believe the snake and belt are Ledy accessories as I believe only they have the circle imprints, but the snake is a lighter color than the 2 ledy snakes I have. It's still cool, just not accessory accurate.

Cheers GanjaFett. I had looked at the possibility of the belt and snake being Ledy, but always appreciate others input. He is what I thought a confused Yoda!

Just that you know how many yoda variants are out there, I give an example:

On Kenner card 41D appeared following Yoda variants:
1. Lightgreen orange eyes
3. Brightgreen/Applegreen orange snake
4. Brightgreen/Applegreen hard brown snake
5. Regular Yoda with brown snake

So this is 4 really different versions with mostly complete different accessories in different versions and molds!

ie.e 3 different cane colors, 3 different capes, 2 different snakes and 2 different belts!

And all this on one cardback.

So I hope now you understand whats the problem is with this character. The amount of different accessories, coos and molded color is so huge. If you start now to mix this all through its nearly impossible!
I made heavy research in the 41D backs, because I got some tremendous help from Stephen! An lcukily I have them all loose with the perfect correct accessories by now!

Yoda is fascintaing...but really frustrating at the same time!

If you ask me: the Yoda above is all mixed through. (maybe buy an ornage snake with a dark stick....and change the sticks...then its at least not too wrong.)

Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Assuming these aren't ledy accessories, why are they different? Any ideas.....

4. the belts:
I agree with Jason. The deepth of the circles/injection points is not a clue to identify Ledy belts. They can be deep or not. Doesnt make sense because thats the point where the plastic material was injected in the mold! So of course these can be different!
IMO the pin from the fastener has to be the long one. So 1 and 2 can be ledy...three is not Ledy!

Taken from an older Yoda thread.

Dr Dengar,
Thanks for the pictures. The belt I have has the longer bit on the fastener. Would you suggest this could be a ledy belt?

Hi Dan, does your belt also has a circle on the little pouch as well?

In that case, the belt looks like a Lili Ledy belt to me. Question is off course whether this molding is unique for LL.

From what I understood PBP also made a dark green Yoda which looks exactly like the LL version. There are more such PBP figures, e.g. Ben Kenobi, Luke Bespin. Just a wild theory: Maybe PBP - a Spanish company- was well connected to Mexican officials allowing PBP to circumvent trade restrictions and export figures to Mexico (toys for the Mexican market normally had to be produced in Mexico, that's why Lili Ledy got a license to produce SW figures in the first place). The PBP and Lili Ledy Yoda would be technically the same. This could also apply for the accessories, meaning the PBP and Lili Ledy belt were the same.

Ok, here are some pictures of the belt and the snake in question from my mixed up Yoda. There are also pictures of my orange snake yoda and brown/green? snake yoda. These two belts are also different. The orange one has no broken lines around the edge of the belt, this makes in all 3 different molds for belts that I have......are these all genuine? They look right to me but I appreciate others input......
