| Gang, for a couple of years now I've been taking photos of my loose vintage figures in action. If you haven't come across the images yet, you can check them out at my wordpress blog or flickr. I'd love to hear your comments and if you're up to anything similar let me know.
Cheers! -Pete |

Cheers! -Pete Hey Pete - best you refer to me as Peter now to avoid any confusion! As AussieJames have pointed out I have done photoshoots of Vintage Star Wars figures in action in my Limelighting thread here : THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK inspired action figure photography. The first photoset is just the beginning as I will soon be posting the subsequent photosets that I've taken. Here's my comments on some of these choice pictures from your blog & FlickR Photo Album : STAR WARS Episode IV On the Hoof Pushing Droids STAR WARS Episode V At the Gates of Bespin Bespin State of Mind STAR WARS Episode VI Palace Morning It seems that great minds think alike! I have also done some similar photoshoots for Original STAR WARS Trilogy inspired scenes from : STAR WARS Episode IV Droid Sale at the Lars homestead featuring my 3 Vintage large hood Jawas, Vintage brown hair Luke (Tatooine) and R5-D4 and the 2004 Hasbro R1-G4. I may do another updated photoshoot with my Jawa Sandcrawler and with the new droids that Hasbro has released in 2009 and 2010. STAR WARS Episode V Lando Calrissian and the Bespin Security Team featuring my Vintage Lando (smiling white teeth variant), Lobot, 4 Bespin Security Guards, 2 Cloud Car Pilots and the Twin Pod Cloud Car vehicle against a Pink backdrop, which best depicts the Cloud City ambience. STAR WARS Episode VIDaytime in Jabba's Palace featuring my Vintage 4 tan limbs Klaatu and the 2004 Hasbro J'quille ("Tooth Face") figures

Indeed Peter! Really cool stuff. And thanks to everyone for their good words. Great inspiration to keep pressing on with the photography. My main problem currently is finding the time. A 9-month old daughter is magic wrapped in a pink cloud of happy BUT definitely a black hole for a guy's discretionary time! Maybe in a couple months she'll start assisting me? Hey, I can dream. |

Indeed Peter! Really cool stuff. Pete, give me a High 5! Train your little girl well and in due time she probably will. You're not the only one who is finding the time for this. Having done this photography myself, we take up time in setting up the "stage" for our Vintage Kenner / Modern Hasbro cast and crew, creatures and vehicles, get them into the position on how we want them to tell the story, ensure that lighting exposure is right, take test shots and shoot & reshoot till we get the desired results. I can see why your picture on Leaving Rebel Base here : is one of your personal favorites. I like the top view angle you took this pic, as it conveys the atmosphere at the Massassi Rebel Base Hangar as the Rebel Pilots make their way into X-Wing Fightes shortly before the Battle of Yavin. A question for you, do you have any pictures taken of Luke Jedi, Han Carbonite, Chewbacca and Lando Skiff Guard onboard the Tatooine Skiff vehicle during the Battle above the Sarlacc Pit? |

HIGH FIVE! At the moment I don't have any photos depicting the skiff vehicle. I don't own the skiff (or any mini-rigs at the moment ) but good chance that'll change soon. |
