This was the year when my clear bubble fetish started to kick in and i started to try and learn how to use a camera with mixed results!

At this point in time i was still limited to a Cupboard for display so i had downsized against the previous year and had shipped quite a few items out.

I have left the text in how it was originally posted back then

Kenner SW Luke Skywalker GDE Canadian 20 back B AFA 80 NM (C80-B85-F85) offerless clear bubble


This is the only known example of the original Luke Skywalker to show up on a Canadian 20 backto date as far i have found anyways.


Kenner ESB Luke Bespin Fatigues 31b back offerless clear bubble


The infamous walking photo that was only used on the Kenner 31b cardback issue and is my favourite cardback image! This version of the figure has yellow hair.


Palitoy ROTJ Luke Bespin Fatigues 45 back offerless clear bubble


This Luke Bespin MOC shows the alternative photo. This version of the figure also has yellow hair.


Kenner ROTJ Luke Hoth Fatigues 48 back with Nien Nunb offer clear bubble



Great figure! He would have been even better if Kenner gave him a blue lightsaber. Hard to find a clear bubble example of this figure/cardback release.

Kenner ESB Leia Organa 31b back offerless clear bubble


The original Leia is hard to find minty white and this is my favourite vintage Leia figure.

This cardback has the sticker version of the Revenge of the Jedi offer on the front and back.

Palitoy ROTJ Darth Vader 65 back offerless clear bubble


This cardback shows the original Darth Vader cardback image.

Kenner ROTJ Darth Vader 77 back AFA 85 NM+ (C80-B85-F85) Made in Mexico


This is the Made in Mexico version and the figure is the Lily Ledy Mould. Note this cardback also shows the alternative pointing cardback picture.

The Tri Logo cardback image only shows one stormtrooper making it pretty cool.

Toy Toys is an Argentina company that released the figures but only a few figures were released. The back of the card is very interesting and looks more like the old 12 backs with the double race track.

Yeah i own pretty much all the ones with clear bubbles lol

My collection has expanded a little bit since 2008, 2009 and even since my 2010 limelight.

Yeah i tried the stormie focus a few years back but never got very far lol i just like way to many figures to be stuck collecting one character!

When it comes to ROTJ MOC's i think Yellow Hair Luke Bespins were only released on Palitoy ROTJ Cards im pretty sure you cant get Yellow Hair Luke Bespins on any Kenner ROTJ Cards.

In terms of Palitoy i think there is a pretty fair mix of Yellow Hair and Brown Hair across most of the ESB / ROTJ Palitoy MOC issues.

To be frank, I have never seen any Yellow Hair/Blonde Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) on US Kenner cards with the ROTJ logo. Not sure about the ROTJ Kenner Canada cards though. As a matter of fact when I started collecting Star Wars figures back in 1981, all the Bespin Lukes that were sold in my part of the galaxy were already the brown hair variant on Kenner 41D card backs. There were NO blonde Bespin Lukes sold in Malaysia. I deduced they were sold in Singapore at that time as evidenced by a loose blonde Bespin Luke used on a store window display back in August 1982. It seems that Kenner must have shipped all their BROWN Hair original Luke and Bespin Luke on ROTJ cards to Malaysia!

From your description, Star Wars collectors in the UK are a fortunate lot back in the day. You can get both brown and yellow hair Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) on ROTJ Palitoy cards and even up to the Trilogo ROTJ cards. If your blonde Bespin Luke came in a Palitoy ROTJ 45 back card, could there have been one issued on a Palitoy ROTJ 65 card back, circa 1983/84?

Some really minty and nice items, Meccano and Toptoys, and even a small Stormie focus, and now you have the new stuff like the die cast mocs to add as well,
