anybody else have this problem

with specivic items that are high on your wishlist
and that are actually not the most expencive ones
but for some reason you jusy havent gotten around to buying it
because something else just keeps popping up

even tho sometimes you go monthes with out finding something or your focus
like in my case , and you keep stubbeling on items you want aswell but you just
wont push that button, lol

wtf is up with that , for me

its the dewback , and the two display stands
along with some fig like imperial dignitary ( no way iam paying that much for a weaponless boring fig :scratch: )

if you do let us know wich ones and why

dont forget where talking about aforteble items , i mean i want the imperial shuttle aswell but i just cant find myself to pay that kinda cash
i rather spend that on something for my focus , you know what i mean

iamnot trying to make a boring thread like whats your favorite fig or anything like that
just trying to see if iam the only one or not and maybe we can convince each other to buy or not to buy those specivic items

I know what you mean Jimmy, I still need the black endor pistols for A -wing & imperial gunner & black palace blasters for Luke endor & Lando general & I don't want to buy complete figures because I have 2 of each figure already!!! It makes it more difficult for me because I've seen MOCs cheaper than complete figures & there is no way I'm busting them open just for the weapons There are obviously a lot of variations I need as well but I have a lot of doubles which I really should sell first. I REALLY struggle to sell anything but I know once I do it should free up some money to expand my collection. This also brings up another problem- I'm fast running out of room. My main problem is keeping focused, I get side tracked too easily. All part of the fun

EDIT, if you wait till after Christmas I think Chris J will have a display stand for sale.

ive been lucky so far with that shop a couple of citys away from me , wher the owner just let me sit in the back between his stock of boxes , and i could check each fig seperatly

how fun was that finding almost 3/4 variations of each fig for five euro a piece

i could never buy a single loose fig on ebay maybe a ll biker scout

but maybe thats it , the dewback is so far aay from my focus
and realy doesnt appear that much in the movie either that i dont come around to buying it
even tho i think the box is awsome aswell as the creatures sculpt

Know what you mean Jimmy about that Imperial Dignitary no weapon figure - I need one too and most of the other last 17 which are pricey but keep holding off bcause of other cool items like that mail away action stand and the trilogo boxed rebo band I got recently -
I'd really like to get the Jabba playset boxed too because you could make some cool palace displays with the other figs. Would also like a Rancor monster, again because of displayability and you just got to have a go at putting Luke in its jaws

I have a similar problem, I keep selling things to raise cash that I know I can pick up again in the future, which most likely I will put off for months + months and even possibly years leaving lots of "runs" incomplete (again) but hey ho its all fun

I think if you stopped, took note of all the things you wanted to buy up and went out and tracked them all down it would add up to a fair bit of $$ (including postage from all those different sellers) and chances are once you had paid it all off a grail item will come along and say "buy me !" and you will have to beg and plead with the owner to wait till next months payday! *(well apart from James who pays himself weekly )

Anyways, I think its fun to have "Gaps" even if it drives us mad, we all go off on tangents and buy things we don't need yet leave out all the things we do actually need , very strange!

This is one reason why I'm giving up on collecting figures for now. With the odd ball stuff, its alot easier to get what I need and don't have to worry about much. When I was focusing on the AT AT Driver, I was real picky on what I got as for MOC's. Plus most of them you can find just about all day long except the rarer stuff. And alot of the Driver material was getting more expensive to get.

Jimmy, if you want a display stand, I can hook you up with the one I have left along with another item I got. We can work out a deal on them on a trade.
