What do you think about Recarded Vintage Star Wars figures?

Personally I am not a fan of recarded vintage figures... especially when people try to pass them off and sell them as the real thing!!!

Just wondering what you people think..... discuss!!!!!!!!

Sometimes they're cool... ive seen mockup cards for blue snags or boba fett POTF. Figures that never had cardbacks!!!

But I hate when people try to sell them as the real thing!!!!!

"would have love to hear you rant and rave!!!!!" fuck you should have seen me jump up and down when the computer glitched Anyway I did bring up- some customs are OK, but I've been burnt by recards and Jay showed me the light in regards to them. Most of my MOCs cost $20 so I'm happy about that.

Maybe someday when you get board you can retype/blog up your novel about recards!!!!!

i think recarding a fig , because that's the way you like to collect your figures , can be cool if that's your thing
some people actully alter something about the graphic so it couldent be passed of as real, it happens in skateboard collecting aswell, some items are just to high in value , that some people cant afford but would really love to have

(like my lili ledy biker scout for example)

personaly , i think cards are cool and all , but i do love the feel of picking up a fig and feeling it my hand instead of a piece cardboard

now on the other hand , PEOPLE RECARDING FIG AND TRYING TO SELL THEM FOR THE REAL THING , THEY SUCK

I totally agree!!! recarding a figure for your own personal collection or doing a custom job for various figures is ok.

But i see tooo many people out there selling recards and trying to pass them off as original!!!!

As the guys have said, recarding for personal use is ok, but far too often these 'get out' to the wider community & get passed on & on, eventually by an unscrupulous soul who'll pass it off as original.

So basically, it's best if you don't make them at all. Ever. In fact i'll hunt the makers of these abominations down & destroy them all. Death to recards!! DEATH TO RECARDS!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!

Its like anything collectable and worth money, you will always find scammers, how many VC Jawas have we seen on Ebay over the years that seem to appear in someones dads attic hahaha!!!

Just make sure you do your homework on the cards AND the figures AND the weapons as the figures are being reproduced also, ive seen some scary Yaks and Blue Snags that would pass as real!

Most of you know i recard my Lili Ledy, i dont hide the fact nor am i paying stupid money for some tatty original, like it or lump it mine are here to stay
