| Meccano, Palitoy, PBP, Lili Ledy, Harbert, Clipper, Top Toys...
Out of ALL the foreign (to Kenner) licensees, which is your all time favourite?
I think really they are all awesome, the dramatically different logos used and the variations that can be found in the lines from these Licensees / Countries are all fantastic and add so much diversity to the figures we choose to collect, they can give a focus depth by just one figure and if someone is collecting the entire line its a sight to see!
Any favourites from you guys?? |

| I love them all and the logo diversity is incredible. My favorite at the moment (likely to change again) are the Mecanno Cards. I recently picked up this minty Meccano ROTJ Luc (Tenue) Bespin cardback off Uli. I would love to get some ROTJ Meccano MOC's at some point. Jay |

| That really is a clean cardback Jay!
I think the Lili Ledy line of figures are just great because of the variations and obvious QC differences between them and Kenner but there are definitely more striking Logo's out there like the Harbert and Palitoy ones.
I think if I were too choose a specific Licensee to collect I probably wouldn't choose Kenner at all, perhaps that lies in the rarity of the foreign figures, everything Kenner produced just seems like its limitless and can be found in less than an hour on the internet! |

| favorites....hmmmm thats really a tough decision! I like most: LL then PBP and Meccano... I think these thre are my favs. Otherwise I´m just a loose collector so it only depends on the figure variants. And these are great to the licensees I mentioned wolff |

| Being a variant devotee, i love Ledy's, just can't beat 'em. Must admit tho, currently got a soft spot for PBP figures, watch this space for some wholesale PBP additions coming soon!!! |

| They all have their quirky points: Glasslite & Meccano odd size square cards, Top Toys figures without pegholes. I do have a soft spot for Ledys but national pride says Tol Toys is my favourite. Now to find a spoty VC Jawa |

| Great question Joe. It's a real tough one. I am really enjoying collecting the loose foreign variants of which Ledy are probably my favourite as there are so many. But I also love the Tops Toys figures as they are so crudely made. With carded figures I love the look of Harberts. I think they are great looking cardbacks. But I think the sexiest run is the SW first 20 Palitoy run. One day, one day |

| I will always be watching out for them Jay and when they come up if I can afford it I will get them.
It's just a very expensive run which I'm gonna take my time with. |

| Other than the german site does anyone have a good reference for loose ledys? Im after some good pics, the german site is great but very limited in the amount of figures it shows.
Does anyone have a pic of a ledy prune face, i think i have one here amongst some loose figs, im letting my little lad have them but if its ledy i will hold onto prune face as its a line i fancy collecting. |

| Hiya Del,
I would love to help put together a more in depth Ledy reference site as the German one is great, but far of being complete.
Maybe myself and Wolff could supply photos and comparisons and we can have it attached to TIG and aim for a full comparison for all Ledy figures.
With regards to Prune face, Ledy has a duller paint finish to his torso a shiny black eyeatch. Belt, trousers and boots are shiny aswell. His hands are a lighter shiny shade of pink
The COO is on the inside of the top of his left thigh cLFL1984
Do you have a cape aswell? If so it is a darker, more firm material.
Hope this helps, if not I'll get some photos

| Sounds like a good idea Burnsy, if Wolff has time for another side project to help you and others!! (That makes his own collecting + personal life & the huge new variation guide with Mike & this possible Ledy guide) Oh and don't forget he is knocking everyone up a custom x-wing luke |

Stu Basically the main TIG Site has unlimited web space so if anyone wants to help set up a guide for Lily Ledy Figures then i am more than up for it guys! The plan always was to expand the TIG Reference into other fields in 2010. |

| Cheers Stu, A pic would be great mate when you get the time. I have 2 loose prune faces, one has much greener legs and a orange eye, the other one has a yellowish eye. Both have the same coo. I have 2 capes, very similar shades but one seems more fluffy.
Years ago i asked on Rs about a prune face i had and was told it was ledy, ive since sold that one but this one looks the same from what i can remember. However i wouldn't say his boots or eye patch were any shinier, its probably another variant (tri or something) |

| Hi Del, excuse the pictures. I'm putting together a lightbox so will improve on these soon. The Ledy figure is on the left of the photos : Notice the duller Torso and the shiny eyepatch The hand paint is shiny and pink The cape is made of a thick material which allows it to stand up on it's own |

| Cheers Stu that helps a lot. Mines not ledy, the legs are the same colour but the rest does not match. Oh well my little lad can have it now lol.
Can't wait to see some sort of guide.
