Hi guys,

I would appreciate your help with identifying a possible LL Ackbar. I learned from this forum that is really difficult to identify a LL Ackbar from pictures, but I give it a try anyway.

Actually after reading all the info, it is still a bit unclear to me how to distinguish a LL Ackbar. I try to summarize:

• The LL eye should be a bright pale yellow, matt in appearance
  
• The pupil to his eye is like a brown colour.
  
• The paint on the hands is darker,
  
• The head is not as glossy,
  
• The paint on his belt pouch is darker.
  
• The data stamp is exactly the same as Kenner's so that won't help you for identification:

Below are pictures of four Ackbars (from left to right, resp. A, B, C, D).

• Ackbar “A” entered my collection in a baggie via a mail offer when I was twelve years old, so I guess it is pretty safe assuming this is not a LL, and consequently can serve as a Kenner reference for the other three.
  
• Ackbar “B” was sold to me as a LL a few months ago
  
• Ackbar “C” and “D” were obtained as possible LL.

What do you guys think. Is there any LL among these? Why (not)?

I would say the 4th. (far right) is Ledy!

AND BTW: Lots of Info about Ledy in the net is wrong....so be carefull!

the eyes!

The paint is unique to HK coos as far as I know! There also exist 2 different no coo Ackbars with similar eyepaint (both Meccano)....so Ledy can mainly be recognized on the eyes

I also checked your Yodas.....difficult too! Make some coo shots from the yodas in the other thread. Im not sure if all three figures are Ledy!

more info on the others???

1 and 2 are the same variants and are often sold as Ledy on ebay! This figure is a cool variant: the dark painted claps (hands), the lighter head, etc.
But both are not Ledy!

The third one is a normal HK variant! Nothing special here...its the standard Ackbar (not in europe...here is Taiwan coo standard )



One question: where did you purchased #4???

No. 2 was indeed bought via ebay. I am pretty sure however that the seller was unaware of this Ackbar not being a Ledy. I will inform him nonetheless.

At a later moment I will post some COO pics of the Yodas in the other thread.

Figure D in this thread lacks the reddish brown pupil which is typical for Ledy and is therefore considered a Kenner figure as well. Figure D is the same figure as Figure 4 in the pics below (taken from Ackbar's entry in the Lili Ledy thread).
