| Hi, I have been holding off putting this one up as I am technically 5 coins short of the full executive set, however I think it's worth sharing anyway. For those that aren't familiar with the term, "executive set" refers to a double set of coins so that you can see front and back at the same time. A few of these were given to Kenner executives at the end of the line, hence the name - executive set! I concentrated most of my efforts in late 2013/2014 to complete this set from the beginning. Loved the journey and met some very helpful people along the way. First up is the frame. I had a local framing store make this to specification for a very reasonable price. I wrapped the backing board in felt to create the backdrop for everything. I tried a few materials, but black felt just looked the best against the silver of the coins. Then with a whole lot of coin holders, some double sided tape and scissors the fun begins The idea is to cut out a small section of felt to expose the backing board on which the double sided tape will stick. The other side of the tape will then stick to the coin holder once pressed down onto it. All the while, a bit of careful measuring to make sure the rows and columns are lining up nicely. It doesn't need to be perfect as from a distance it's hard to detect any imperfections -- especially when admiring the whole collection together! It was a real treat to lay all these coins out and go through picking out the best side of each for display. Up until this point I had not seen them all "together" in the open before And there you finally have it! I decided to use a piece of an old POTF cardback encouraging you to "collect all 62" coins as the title for the whole display. I think it works out nicely. I also have the sail skiff and Luke Hoth coins at the top which is a bit of a break with tradition from the original executive sets. They are the most precious though, so justify their position. Everything else is laid out in alphabetical order. And in it's final display position, with front plastic casing in place on our stairs. I can walk past it each day and take it all in! Cheers, Jared. |

| This is very cool. You did a great job at displaying them. What do you mean your technically 5 coins short? I don't see any open/blank holes. I have never gone for any of the coins but counting what you have I count 124 in the frame; so 62 x 2 would be all of them right? |

I've got 5 extra Warok coins in there showing the text side as placeholders for now. So it looks finished and complete which is good enough for now. I'll track those missing 5 down one day ... |

| I have never gone after the coins, but I have heard putting together one complete set is daunting, much less having two sets so you can show front and back. Congrats on getting these this far. I can only imagine the cost of a set as I have seen a few coins listed in the classifieds for large amounts. Now that you are this close are you going to expand into other areas like loose figures or do you think you will go for prototype coins, maybe droids or ewoks coins? |

| congratulations on a great display you've created there, good idea using spares as place holders until you find the final five.

| Thanks all for the compliments. - trappedtexan wrote:

Yes, some of them are big money at the moment, if you even see any advertised. I got a lucky break here and there and it helps to buy a bulk lot when you can. But otherwise it was a conscious decision to commit to the venture and see it through. - trappedtexan wrote:

I think this is it for me on the coins front. Prototypes, droids and ewok coins just don't do it for me. I'd be tempted to add some icing on the cake with a 63rd coin but that would mean I'd need two though to keep the symmetry going I think the next thing for me is to track down a couple of the more well know minor figure variations, and do a stocktake to ensure all figures have an original weapon. And recently I've been thinking I would like to track down some suitable vintage MOC bubble parts to attempt to restore some TolToys cardbacks I re-discovered in my collection using the "toploader" method. |

| That's some dedication to get two sets and make your own display but totally worth it for such a cool effect. Nice idea to fill the gaps with duplicate coins. I only have one coin, the LXWP proto, but after seeing your idea I'd be tempted one day to get a second to display both sides. Other than that I think I could use a jeweller's small revolving stand / case to show it Thanks for sharing. Congrats and good luck hunting down the last five |
