I just received this Vader in the post i wont give anything away just yet but can anybody see whats wrong with it?

His helmet is practically touching his shoulders. Where did he come from?

My second guess was going to be clinical depression?

In this photo, he just looks like he's lost interest in things...

This was the auction picture i bought this Vader in the hopes it was a LL / MIM the saber tip been the biggest pointer of this been a possibility so i took a punt.



I got it on eBay via a BIN description said vintage darth vader.

Can anyone else see anything wrong with this Vader?

I'm pretty sure it's the depression thing. His saber is hanging listlessly by his side, he's staring apathetically into the distance. He really looks like he's lost his confidence.

Is the sabre a vintage Jay? (I thought they were orange or something)

Shit.

The saber looks like a Ledy Saber same tip thickness but it has a shorter tip length than the Ledy.

The handle is slightly squared but then some genuine saber variants can look a bit like that.

The colour is bright red almost illuminant and very similar in colour to some of the original sabers variations.

Im a bit pissed to be honest i paid 8gbp (not a lot i know) to get this figure shipped but i didn't expect a vintage Repro if this happened to you what would you do?

I would send it back and explain, you are lucky that it was advertised as "Vintage" and the figure has a date stamp onit.

If it had been "Darth Vader" you would have been fooked!

You normally have to return the figure(at the buyers cost) to get a refund? I would ask the seller for a partial refund equal to the postage cost, keep the figure & put it with your variants. I can't believe I didn't pick it for a re-edition

i would check the sellers feedback, if its say 100% and he has plenty of sales/buys then there is probabley a good chance you can work something out. if there is shite feedback with few negs then it may be harder

either way contact him and let him know how you feel, ie its not what it said on the tin and see what you can get (partial/ full refund)

then go down paypal bad neg road, depends how far you wanna go, as you said £8 aint loads but that is def not the point
