| Well I always swore never to mess with stickers on MOC figures, I had the perfect MOC , unpunched, no damage, clear bubble but 2 yellow price stickers on the rop right corner. Never thought of taking those stickers off although I often thought it would look nicer without them I was never going to attempt it! A while ago whilst Shawn was helping me out on a few deals from US sellers I asked him if he had ever had any good experience with goo gone as I wanted to try it on a few old cardbacks - he has had really good results lol! So for some reason, I took the perfect MOC - got some goo gone and tried my best to soak the sticker, left it a while came back and a little more - noticed the top was curling up so I thought ok time to take the sticker off! Grabbed a corner and very carefully peeled the sticker off.. Now goo gone is not to blame here, but what was under the sticker really upset me.. A long tear the exact length of the stickers, but get this - no paper from the card on the back of either sticker... I don't know if it was damaged like this before it got to the store or the previous seller somehow covered up this damage but its there and its visible and I wish I had never ever touched it On the other hand, if I had never attempted to remove the sticker I would never have known and what if I had sold it in the future and the next owner tried to remove the sticker - he might have thought that I had covered the damage up.. So mad for several reasons (by the way the previous seller is long gone off the radar - no contact details unfortunately) |

| Joe,unlucky pal, that's sounds a right shitter!!! I've removed a few in the past and luckily have never damaged the card or found a dirty tear under the sticker. May not have been the sellers fault he may have obtained/purchased the item in that way,but somewhere down the line some tosser has played a dirty trick. |

| I know Lee it's not the end of the world but it was the MOC I kept displayed out of all my Kenner as it was the nicest - Now its probably the worst .. really has put me in a shitter of a mood! I guess I will just have to be on the look out for an upgrade now, doubt I will be in the market for price stickered MOCs any more unfortunately |

| That sucks joe If it was me i would put the sticker back down and forget about it (well try to lol) It will display nicer with the sticker than the tear. If you decide to sell maybe remove it then, or tell the buyer about the damage thats under the sticker. I've had 50/50 success rate with sticker removal, so i don't like to touch them now unless they are really hanging off. Tbh stickers don't bother me at all, they add to the charm. I wonder how many Graded moc's have had damage covered by a sticker Often thought that, the buyer would NEVER know once it was graded. |

| Funny you mention the grading aspect Del, there was literally no way you could have seen the tear through the sticker, even when it was damp from the goo gone it wasn't showing up through the sticker ! I highly doubt (even though they are thorough) that they could have seen the damage, so I do believe its possible that a few graded MOCs with price stickers are cover ups |

| Sorry to hear that mate, was it the 77a?
I'm wondering if the damage occurred at the store where it was bought from & the store owner covered up the damage with the price stickers? |

| Shit joe thats a real nice 8d8, i can see why your a bit pissed. I would stick them back on mate, looks better than the tear. I see what you mean, it does look like the tear was there before the stickers! |

That sucks dude. I agree with everyone who said to put it back on. The stickers look fine and even if they look worn, it'll be a far better look than the tear. |

| Hmm the thing is the goo gone has dried out the adhesive on the stickers, so if I were to put them back I would have to glue them myself.
Wish I hadn't taken them off - Ignorance is bliss! |

| Ouch Joe!
Ugh mate! I don't know what to say really other than I'm really sorry.
Judging by the photos you posted though, I'm inclined to believe that the stickers were put there to cover up the damage. Whether by the store who originally sold it, or by the seller you bought it from. Just too many flags come up, especially since no paper is on the backs of the stickers.
I'm gutted for you mate! |

| After seeing the pictures I'm 100% sure those stickers were used to cover the tear by a previous collector / scammer.
I know that shawn someone (can remember the surname) on RS used to do this a few years ago and was outed for it.
I guess its pretty easy to buy used cardbacks with stickers as they are very easy to lift out whole and transplant them onto mocs with tears.
Really makes you wonder if its happened to you.
I also think that this is something that the AFA defo miss! |

| Hey not your fault! I think in a way I am glad to know, yes its ruined my perception of the figure but the perception was false so in a way thats good. I will just try and upgrade it and let it be a lesson - either don't buy stuff with price stickers or don't remove them LOL |

| Sorry to hear bro.
Ya you can't mess with sticker's on the actuall card, their just is no way aroud them.
I had an idea once to try a heat gun on low setting to maybe remove a sticker once but i was to affraid to fk up the card.
I still one day would like to try this experiment on a really stickerd up beater card.

| That truly sucks, i would have been gutted to if it happend to me. Anyway, if you planning to keep it for your own display i agree with some others, glue the price tags back on as it looks much better with those. (the value off the MOC is destroyed anyway with the scar or the reglued price stickers, so why don't go with the solution that display's best.... |

Dan. it's Andy car's been blowing blue smoke when I first accelerate but then stops after a few mins, the other day I realised that I'd lost an engine's worth of oil over 4 months - luckily no lasting damage. I've done a bit of research and the most likely cause is the seals in the turbo. Only problem is that they are so expensive, but the guy at my garage is a good man so is hunting for a reconditioned part (or a cheaper problem) The cars a Rover 75 petrol estate (we call it the Granddad Carrier) I hadn't even realised it had a turbo Any ideas Dan? |

| Hi Andy It's hard to tell what's going on with the car without actually seeing what it's doing but ya oil misiing is either bad seal's/gasket's or bad ring's how many miles are on it?and did it just start smoking blue? Can you see oil residue leeking? I say start with fixing all the leeking seal's/gasket's and then wipe clean all remainding oil off engine. Turbo car's do burn some oil they run hot recirculating hot exhaust gasse's into turbo to push cold air into engine under extreme pressure. How many PSI is your unit set too?Is it fixed rate or adjustable boost? Does your engine cycle after you turn it off for at least 10 second's so the oil does'nt coke up? Man if i could be their i could fix it.You know what i mean i'm trying to do this over cyberspace Dan. |
