| Snigger Well after selling up nearly and stopping then collecting Ledy again and now selling some of it again im getting confused haha, HOWEVER once Goldies debts are paid for its Ledy and the odd rarity i fancy for me, i might keep trying to get more Tie Bombers (been looking around and you dont see many for sale), and more Ledy and maybe more Fetts and hmmm did i mention Ledy? I dont want to get tied down with a carded run tho so if i buy carded itll be because its rare or cheap lol probs buy some Ledy too |

| As of right now, I'm going for the 4-LOM offer cards, along with the bootlegs. I picked up two nice ones yesterday on RS to get the ball rolling. It feels so good to get back into the hunt again. |

| Thats what I was afraid of, someone else going that route. But with me buying 3-4 a month, hopefully he'll have his set before I get to the more expensive ones. It was either them or the Nien or display area offers. I know the display ones go for a good bit. |

| I think it means to obsess about 1 particular vintage SW item/figure for no apparent variant reason, ie collect loads of exactly the same thing, like Tatsie collecting loads of identical loose Yak's. |

| Arse!!! after reading more and catching up on this hobby im getting major figures expansion ideas, doesnt this just sneak up on ya and grab ya by the bollox! After the Ledy Emperor discussion im thinking how cool it would be to have 1 of each side by side (yeh of every damn figure!) But im going to start with the Emperors of course Im also now fancying a nice minty complete kenner set (bit by bit). Been eyeing playsets up too gawd where does it end |

- As the title says I would like to hear about your plans for your Star Wars collection. I am full of ideas but not sure which way to go. I've started down the scary road of MOCs. I don't have enough space as it is. I would like to display as much as possible. I have not lost interest in loose variations but they are starting to get really expensive. A mint loose foreign variation can be equal in value to a decent 12 back. I do not think I could have a character focus. Sounds like I am undecided I like the idea of trading up & really do not like selling. Regardless I am having fun. I would like a plan for 2010.
I thought i would bump this old thread up to see how peoples intial plans for 2010 have panned out now we are getting near the end of the year Jay |

Jay I forgot that we had a thread like this here. lol Time sure does fly by. - shawn_k wrote:
- I think most here know what my main goal will be for 2010
1. Finish the 62 coin set I'm just looking for a Luke Hoth coin to finish my set. I hope one turns up between now and Dec., so I can finish another collecting milestone for me. - shawn_k wrote:
- 2. Luke Jedi (ROTJ-A baggie, Lili Ledy loose figure/cardback, Palitoy MOC)
I haven't seen a ROTJ-A baggie yet. I got the ledy cardback shortly after this post thanks to some fellow collectors, but haven't pulled the trigger on a loose figure. I did get a Palitoy a few months back. - shawn_k wrote:
- 3. Early Bird Certificate
This was surprisingly an early purchase of the year that I just completed some of the missing paperwork on. - shawn_k wrote:
- After scoring those items I think I will be mostly content with my overall collection. I imagine after that I will be able to focus all attention to Luke Jedi with the exception of one item that I will have to do some saving for which would be a early bird mailer with DT Luke.
An early bird mailer is still up on my list and will be something I'll be going after next year for sure. |

| Well...
I think I will stop collection Star Wars or Action figures for that matter. When I first got in collection I would only collect the figures I had when I was a kid. After I got that collection I went over variations, MOC, MIB and had some focus collections. But every time I went back to the main collection and sold the rest of the collection. To be honest I planned on having a Cloud car pilot focus, but it's like I really don't get a sparkle any more. So I have desited to sell all my stuff but the main collection, I collected all the machines I had when I was a kid, all the beast and my GI Joes collection(which by the way also is a collection based on the stuff I had when I was a kid) So my goal must be to sell my spare stuff and stop collection.
Cheers Michael |

| lets see...keep chipping away at loose mint, moc, and playsets and vehicles. add to the autograph collection amd sell off the remainder of my modern collection. then eventually display |

| I totally missed this thread last time too! I have quite a few goals that are more of a generality. Some are hopefully going to be attainable in the coming year, but some probably are more long term goals. Here they are in no particular order: Find a ROTJ Cromalin of a ROTJ Character Finish my loose set and upgrades (Romba, Luke Stormie, DSD, Pop-Up R2, etc.) Pick up the last few variants I want (Vinyl Cape Jawa, Brown Snake Yoda) Pick up a Jar Jar first release first shot (painted or unpainted) Find a hardcopy and/or unpainted first shot Yavin Luke Find a hardcopy and/or completed first shot of R3-T7 Pick up some Ewok cartoon animation art and maybe some comic art Finish my Kenner Rebel Commando MOC run (77B and 79A) Pick up a PBP Rebel Commando MOC Get the last POTF Rebel Commando proof I need to finish that run Find the photo transparencies for the ROTJ of the Tri-Pod Laser Cannon Add the Kenner and Palitoy versions to the Endor Forest Ranger MIB run I know it's a lot, but it's always good to have goals! |
