The Snowtrooper was likely sold on a 'Kenner' card in Mexico. The lack of any leg markings was probably due to not enough plastic being injected in the mould. It happens occasionally and can also result in a smaller leg, short foot etc.

Hi Aussiejames so was the figure manufactures in the USA that was imported to Mexico or was it made in LIli Ledy’s plants using Kenner’s cards? Do we know about this? My question is, can it be considered a Lili Ledy ? Interesting there are no COO’s or markings at all , I would think that if it was an incomplete injection the coo would still appear partially , but perhaps you guys have already figured this out ... it is weird for me , look forward to hear back !

Imported figure ( possibly on the Ledy ESB card) Incomplete injection can result in no markings at all.

It is a neat error, but is just an error. As far the imported or made by ledy question, there is debate on this topic. Some collectors, myself included, think the web figures were imported and only carded on imperio cards; however an interview of a former ledy employee they claim that ledy manufactured every piece that they released. Whether the interviewee was meaning the empire figures or not though is questionable as they may have meant the later returno lines. Since there is virtually no difference between the ledy figures off the empire cards and kenner figures there is no proof that ledy ever made them so no reason to believe they were manufactured at the ledy plant. The lack of production proof though hasnt stopped some from thinking that it is possible ledy made them.
