I not a fan of modern figures in general but this figure of Yondu (from the Guardians Of The Galaxy comic) really captured my imagination:

cool. is this the marvel universe figure? (so 3 3/4) I am not even sure if they have done a 6 inch comic yondu. This is how he looks in the comics I believe vs the movie rendition which I think is actually much better.

Hi,
Yep, you're spot on it is indeed the small Marvel Legends version. I absolutely love the movies & know next to nothing about the original comics.. but this figure really just appeals to me for some reason I can't put my finger on.

When I say I'm not a fan of modern figures I doesn't mean that I don't (or can't) appreciate them on a technical level.. it's just that I collect mainly for nostalgia & sentimental reasons & that, for me, usually means vintage.

I once watched the team from Boss Fight Studios at work, during a weekend convention, & those guys are true artists.. the skill/talent involved in taking a ball of wax & a few simple tools to produce an highly detailed sculpt is mind blowing.

Buck Rogers (& Others) - Page 2 10267999786_072cf387e6_c

They were producing their a modern take of the vintage (Action Force) Kraken figure..

I did treat myself to one of their fine products:

Hard to believe that not only is this skeleton only 3 3/4" tall but is also highly articulated:Buck Rogers (& Others) - Page 2 27631377234_b13862b585_c

Wow, I didn't know those were 3 3/4 figures. I saw these in a thread on rebelscum but thought they were 6 inch scale. That skeleton could fit into a star wars display. A little char on it and you have uncle owen and aunt beru after the storm troopers came to visit. lol!

Cool new additions there Tshot, and nice photos. That articulated skeleton is really cool. Wonder what it'd look like with some plastic and soft VSW capes, belts etc thinking

Hi & thanks.

Artoo, Boss Fight do make accessory packs that'll fit all of these figures, they even produce "blank" figures for the custom action figure hobby, check out their web site

All of the Boss fight team have worked for the big toy companies, including Hasbro, and many have worked on modern Star Wars & G.I.Joe.

Really neat to see the old ghostbusters. I had a few but only remember the original Winston character, an egon in a white suit a red tie that moved, and screamed and a cop that the front fell off of and he turned into a skeleton. I am sure I had others but those 3 are the ones I remember the most.

Got some bossfight stuff coming soon which is coincidental that they are mentioned here. I got a good deal on one of their weapon kits and a gorgon (snake like character) from a different forum. They should be here soon, coming in from Canada. I will try to get some pics of them when they arrive. Would love to add a skeleton and possibly a Spartan just because they look so neat.

I found some Bio's for the Bad Guys, thanks to Google.

Cobra:Demolitions Commando Trained to sneak into any target and set his explosives. Only Hannibal can out think him.

Python:Big and Angry His muscles push aside anything that gets in his way. B.A. Baracus is the only man who could ever put him down.

Rattler:The Street Fighter He knows all the tricks, he's the most dangerous. Murdock is the only one who could ever out trick him.

Viper:Known as the Sniper He has incredible weapons knowledge and has special equipment hidden everywhere. Only Face can match his skills.

Heck yeah, the A team rocked back in childhood. I never had the 3 3/4 ones but had a 5 inchish one of Murdock. You have an awesome, eclectic mix of toys. I really enjoy seeing them all.

These Universal Monsters are fun, for a fast food premium (Burger King) they're top quality..

Is that named ED 206? Its been a while but for some reason I was thinking 209. I never had one as a kid but that looks awesome. I had a 55 point of action Robocop figure but don't know or remember who made it. It had a removable helmet and a gun and seemed like it shot caps or something from a backpack (though that may be a different figure I am thinking of). Never seen the konami one. I know Neca has made one that is really cool with a flip open leg and everything. I have had my eye out for a good deal on one just to have a Robocop work its way back into my collection of stuff.

I have those burger king figures nd they fit in petty well with the old remco universal line if you have any of them. You keep showing stuff that is such an instant flash back to my childhood and running around the yard and playing. I love these off topic toy threads.

Cheers
Glad you're enjoying them as much as I am taking 'em Very Happy

:opps:  Sorry, my typing error!!

In the movie it was ED-209 yet Kenner named it ED-260...  unsure I've no idea why, maybe because it was based upon the cartoon?

The Burger King figures offer some fun cross over potential:

Digging even further back in time, some of my earliest toy memories feature this guy..
Buck Rogers (& Others) - Page 2 8477402078_52d0b27e6e_c

I was too young to own a Six Million Dollar Man figure, when they were originally at retail,  but some of the older kids in my neighbourhood would often let me join in & play with theirs... we also had loads of fun (& grazed knuckles) with this:

Gotta love James bond. Such a superspy he can label his vehicles and still not be detected. The pocket heroes line of mego figures was cool also. But by far my favorite in this lineup is the 66 batmobile. I am guessing that is the corgi junior one, but don't know for sure.

By the way, great photos. Not sure of the backgrounds of the shuttle and the last car (which I have never heard of either) but the plastic to make it look like water works really well with the bond submarine.

Very Happy
Some of those were taken during my more experimental diorama phase.. yep, that's the old Corgi Juniors Batmobile.

The last one's the star car from the TAXI series of (French) action comedy movies, created by Luc (The Fifth Element) Besson:

To anyone from outside of the U.K., this next one will probably need some background too:
Buck Rogers (& Others) - Page 2 35338455846_36a4365dd7_c

The Professionals was an action/adventure series, about two undercover law enforcement agents, which was a massive hit here during the late 70's:

This, fingers crossed, needs no introduction Laughing

I can tell it's a bond car, but not sure who made it as I have never seen that toy before. Really cool action feature it has though.  I have a small collection of the 66 batmobile by various makers but most are packed away out of sight. I took a quick pic of my corgi jr and a recent hot wheels loose one sitting in my display case. My case is a complete jumble of all kinds of stuff.

Cool Cool

I love jumbled collection as, much as I admire those folks who can stay focused, I find the eclectic mixed collections more more interesting to view.. they better reflect the people who own them.

Hard to see and I may have to take other pics to get it to show up, but here is what I have from the boss fight studios line of stuff so far. It's a snake lady, not Medusa as she has a different head, but a generic one in all black. She has gold armor and i also have another set of armor in translucent red from them. I am thinking I want a skeleton or two for that armor though.
