I attended a car-boot sale today and saw (but alas, did not buy) a couple of GR-75 Rebel Transport toys for sale.
Neither was complete but what intrigued me was that one of them was black. It seemed identical to the other usual one (and had various stickers on it) but I cant find anything about such a thing online.

I am a total ignoramus about Star Wars collectables to be honest but the people on this forum were very helpfuo a few years ago when I had a question about a Bespin Blaster.

Does anyone know anything about a black version of this vehicle?

I'm annoyed with myself for not a- buying the thing and b - taking any photos!

I have seen pictures of a black one in the last week ( strangely enough!!) it was a painted/customised one.

Sounds like a painted custom job you saw. The prototype photosample documented on the SWCA shows the same colour as a production with alternative decals as the main differences.

I saw this one too. Definatley a custom job but I gotta say it looked badass

Yeah someone posted a black custom one up on FB last week, what group it was I can't remember.
