Hi guys,

I just got a lot of figures that came with some loose weapons. The seller indicated that all loose weapons were originals except for Chewbacca's Bowcaster, which was a repro.

Upon inspection, one of the other weapons was clearly a repro (Chief Chirpa's staff) but this bowcaster I'm really not sure about. It does float and does not match the repros shown here at IG. All of the repros listed have an angled handguard, while this has the rounded one. And then there is this extra piece of plastic below the two vertical bolts.

Besides of this, I really can't be definitive if this is a repro or not.

What do you think ?

Thanks guys. So it might be the seller who got confused saying the Bowcaster was the only repro, while it was in fact Chief Chirpa's staff (which is a bummer because I was interested in the staff initially But I'm happy to have only one repro as stated, and not two ! )

I think that the clip that fits over Chewie's arm is thicker/wider on the repro version.
Also if you hold it up to the light, some of the originals have a blue or green translucency to them, but not all.

Your rifle appears to be a V2 rounded +thick handle grip. So you should be good
