Hello,

I know this came as a special offer with the Kenner 1977 Darth Vader Tie Fighter for the 3.75" figures but I'm not sure how to assure this is not a repro. Does anyone know anything about this? I can't seem to find it anywhere on eBay or other vintage toy dealers. Trying to post a picture, it's in my personal gallery but I always struggle with posting to the forums.

It was only available with select vader ties. Might try searching vader tie backdrop as that brought it up right away for me. As far as if this is original or not, I don't have a clue. I don't collect boxed or carded so I haven't gotten this or run across one.

There are two versions of this item.

Firstly the one psoted by the OP belonging to the Darth Vader Tie-Fighter...



and the later Slave 1 release which was cropped along the top and bottom due to the box been smaller....





Now if you still have the extra instruction leaflet from the DV Tie-Fighter box for the action stand I would like to become your new best friend!!!

Back to your question od value, I know someone was asking $400 for a slave 1 version recently but think $150-$200 is maybe more realistic.

Update. Got it AFA graded, ended up being an 80. Not bad for a 36 year old piece of cardboard. Looks great assembled in the acrylic case.https://servimg.com/view/18948032/6
