Protecting vintage figures in carrying cases? Empty

Hey guys,
I recently started collecting loose vintage figures & want to keep them displayed in SW vintage carrying cases. These figures aren't cheap as I'm spending some decent money on really good condition ones & want them to stay that way. Do any of you guys line the figure slots with anything to protect the figures from getting scraped & losing paint? Ideas? Methods? Pros/Cons to this? Should I not keep these figures in here? Thanks.

Firstly, welcome to TIG.

I'll try to find some links regarding storing figures for you. The key thing is making sure that any padding / packing materials are acid free.

Useful links to other discussion threads on storing figures: http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t3931-storing-your-loose-collection-tips?highlight=storing+figures

I hope these will be of help (the last link recommends not keeping figures long term in carry cases).
