| It's one of my favorite times of the year. As a kid growing up on a farm, we would find small patches of wild black raspberry's growing around the 150 acre farm. But for the past 3-4 years, I have my very own crop of wild black raspberry's growing in our back yard. The berry's are easily half the size of commercial red raspberry's. But have a wonderful taste all their own. A little bit more seedy as well. They start off red and turn black as they ripen. In the wild, the canes usually snake along the ground. But I built a support and the canes grow up the 7' (2.1m) to the top of the support and then grow back to the ground for a total of appox. 14' (4.3m) long. Not to be confused with blackberry's. |

| Excellent Larry. Most people around here, especially in the city, have never heard of black raspberry's. Or they confuse them with blackberry's. I wish that the patch here was bigger. |
