Cheers Chris, I still have a couple of 'wants' on my list, some are trivialwhich simply haven't got round to getting yet and others are a little harder.

Live Like A Suicide E.P. and the Live Era 4xL.P. are bloody hard to find and expensive.

Welcome To The Jungle 1st Issue 12" Poster sleeve and the standard 7" are also on my list and then that pretty much completes my official set. Oh and You Could Be Mine 12" and the two official boxsets, Destruction Lies The Road To Illusion & Appetite For Collection.

Appetite For Conversation Yellow Vinyl as well. There are other bits and bobs I'd like but I guess the two things I'd want the most are Paradise City & Sweet Child O' Mine uncut picture discs but there just too damn expensive, should have bought them years ago when I had the chance!

That Suicide E.P. is the absolute dogs bollocks! Iseriously need that, you can have a collection as extensive as this but it's still nothing with out that, might work up to that one for christmas. Cheers CP anyway, I've always wondered if they did standard 12" versions of Live And Let Die & November Rain, was never quite sure, so now I'm gonna have to track them down as well as You Could Be Mine 12" (if you see any of them anywhere please let me know chief!)

Another thing I really want is all the Japanese 3" C.D.s with the 'build your own box' I think they look great (would never actual build the box though) I only have You Could Be Mine so far. Still missing some of the original 3" C.D.s as well and that ever so illusive 3" welcome To The Jungle in standard C.D. Single case :I am stupid:

I was after the ...Suicide EP for years. I spotted that one stashed in a box under a dealers table at a record fair about 9 years ago. I'm not sure the guy really knew what he had as I got it for a very reasonable price. Cool

I've never seen a standard 12" issue of You Could Be Mine. If one comes up on eBay, you can have first dibs! And I'll certainly let you know if I come across the other ones you're after.

I have a few of the Japanese 'snap' packs. The one I'm struggling to get is Nightrain. I've only seen two unused ones and they went for far more than I'm prepared to pay.
If you come across the 3" Jungle CD in Jewel case, make sure it comes with the 5" adaptor.

I wasn't massively sure weather they did any of the Illusions singles on 12" with the exception of Don't Cry and then a couple of years ago I found Yesterdays the only time I've ever seen it and I bought it, Just checked out ebay and they have a Live And let Die, so I might have a pop at it, but I'm a bit skint so we'll have to see. As for the You Could Be Mine, I saw one on ebay last year and had to bow out as I had zero funds, gutted it sold for 15 quid!!!! It was the week before payday and I was big time broke Sad

I'd love to know what you have in collection chief, so if you've ever got time would you write a list and either PM me or stick on here.

I lost some of my GnR vinyl on my travels, but luckily still have Appetite For Destruction album banned cover and 12" poster bag Welcome To The Jungle.

Is it just GnR vinyl that you have collected so extensively? Or are there other vinyl collections you've put together in a big way?

Thank you Paul. I have collections of CD singles by other artists, but GN'R is the only band that I have an extensive vinyl collection for. I've been collecting since 1989.

This calls for a GN'R celebration, here's Paradise City from Hammersmith Odeon back in '87. This was my first ever bootleg tape of them live and despite having about 60% of GN'Rs entire live performances on harddrive, this will always be my favourite show and my absolute favourite version of Paradise City ever, probably nostalgia more than anything, but I love the Axl intro, the heavy arse bass drum, the gruff voice, everything, enjoy!

Hey Steve, think we've got a pretty much complete discography going on here, keep 'em coming.

Paul, I have a load of Sex Pistoils records as well, pretty cool collection but nothing significant like an A&M God Save The Queen Sad

On a rap/hip-hop note, I also used to collect Wu-Tang Clan C.D.'s and vinyl, basically everything that they did and subsequently all the 'branch out' bands that came from them and solo projects. I stopped collecting in 2000 when Hip Hop turned sour, the collection ended at about 120 C.D.s and 50 vinyl, I sold the vinyl too a very good friend a while back though, it went to a good home though, his Wu-Tang C.D. collection currently tops 1000 and his vinyl collection is coming along nicely, he has stuff in that collection that makes the things in this thread look like a picnic!

Alex thanks for putting up the inner album artwork for 'lies' dude heh heh. Also that live at hammersmith perfomance of paradise city is fucking awesome mate I will hunt out all the tracks that you sent me for that gig and give it a listen. So far I've really enjoyed ther hollywood rose demos, the appetite demos and some of the early gigs.

Chris, you will enjoy the Hammersmith gig very much, but don't jump the gun, take it as it comes, when you hit '87 you'll find a 5 gig tour of England in April & May, Newcastle, Nottingham, Manchester, Bristol & Hammersmith. Well recommend listening to them in order, they start an extended version of Rocket Queen on the first night in Newcastle which progresses through the 5 shows and ends with a twelve minute masterpiece at Hammersmith with a Steven Adler drum solo and everything, it's an absolute thing of beauty!
