They where released when the Star Tours actraction first opened in Florida, I believe they were sold as a boxset and not individually but couldn't say for certain. Always kind of liked them especially the Chewbacca because they look like the shitty Mexican bootleg figures, here's mine:

I got the Chewbacca from my mate in his shop and I would also like the Stormtrooper at some point, mainly because it's looks to me like they have actually been made by taking molds from the original vintage figures and then altering them a little. If you look at the Stormtrooper it has all the features of the original figure and Chewbacca basically does aswell, but in his case they've made the fur look better, but you can tell by little things like his hands and face.
