The Glasslite R2-D2 has the same 1985 COO (no. 2) as the Kenner figure which is used below for comparison. Therefore COO no.2 should not be considered unique to Glasslite.

DIFFERENCES:
Compared to his Kenner counterpart, the Glasslite R2-D2 has:
 
- A dark red eye
- Darker blue paint ops (dome/legs)
- Hand painted legs (TBC)
- Different spray mask on top of dome
- Different screws
- Hard legs, Kenner flex
- Different Decal
 
ACCESSORIES:
The Glasslite R2-D2 came with light green light saber compared to the Kenner dark green. Note the Glasslite saber floats compared to the kenner which floats when placed on water but when pushed sinks.

DIFFERENCES:
Compared to his Kenner counterpart, the Glasslite Kez-Iban has:
 
- Paler skin
- Harder more defined features
- Light brown eyes
- Yellow'er and semi-transparent painted loincloth and boots
- Darker Yellow Hair
- Flashing under chin and mould lines on head
- Wide stance
- Different coloured bag
- Unpainted Legs/Bum area's (several combination found to date, see below)
 
Paint error combo's on the Glasslite Kez-Iban:
 
- Unpainted Right Leg / Unpainted Rear Torso
- Unpainted Right Leg / Painted Rear Torso
- Unpainted Left & Right Leg / Torso ??
 
ACCESSORIES:
Both The Glasslite & Kenner Kez-Iban's came with a solid black imperial blaster V1-C. However the bags share the same mould but are different shades of blue.

I'm getting there slowly, only a few more figures to go....

A loose sise fromm is on my short list, i'll start off with the big one and move from there on the droids line, Tig fromm's a hell of a nice looking figure too, i quite like the droids line, this threads making me keener too

Just doing my bit to share some love for the droids line of figures, I think there pretty cool.

Here we have 4 "Raised Bar" COO's, from left to right (top photo)

Glasslite Droids (???? Shorter Bar)
Glasslite POTF (COO#4)
Kenner Droids (COO#4)
Kenner is 1982 (COO#1)

Is this another case of differences between a pair of moulds?, Is COO#4 on longer unique to Glasslite?

I dug through some stored glasslite photos and answered my own question....

Awesome guide Stefan, never been in to the Droids line personally but must admit lately they have been looking more and more appealing, love those R2's:D

As for the R2's, yeap there sweet, but that glasslite one is a nightmare to get hold of.

Question Time:

Q1: Should I include the Poon Vlix with my original Vlix, when I make that entry?

Q2: Does anyone know if the Droids HK fett came with a special gun, we know the Droids Taiwan fett came with the V5 (with/without) dot.

1. Comparison pics are always useful
2. A HK Droids Fett is something that has only recently been discussed to my knowledge, so getting an answer may take a while longer.

To be fair the Poon Vlix is easy to spot as the limbs are dowelled, but the repro gun is molded black so it would be good to show that.

Great guide steph  learned a lot. You got me hooked on the droids line now  really looking to complete a set, minus vlix thou because he's way to expensive  I guess ima have to live with getting a Poon Vlix

I know theres a repro Vlix is there anywhere to get copies of the 2nd series line?

My vlix entry will include poon copy. There are other copies out there but poons are the most common.

NOTE:

People's opinion vary to weather or not any licensee released a full set of production figures. Kenner released 12 figures in the USA and Europe before the product line was pulled. Canada came a close second with 8 and finally Glasslite managed to get Vlix onto the shop shelves making there grand total 7.
