| I'm considering selling the following four RARE foreign cardbacks. All four are popular character focus and would make great additions to many collections out there. However i'd like some advise tot here value before parting with them? Thank you Top Toys - Yoda Condition - Bubble attached but crushed and split. VERY RARE figure, so i'm quessing a VERY RARE CARDBCK?? Top Toys - Darth Vader Condition - Luckily Top Toys bubbles were prone to failing off, therefore there is minimal damaged to the card, a very nice design piece. Top Toys - Chief Chirpa Condition - Bubble is held in place by 3 staples, would easily be removed to make a very nice design piece. Glasslite - Han Solo Condition - All four corners of the bubble are crushed, bottom of bubble lifted in a shipping disaster |

| I'll say wait for Aussiejames to wake up, he'll know LOL
If I had to make an uneducated pure guess , I'd say $30-$40 with bubble attached, Yoda maybe $75-$100. This is predicated on the bubbles being secure enough to house a figure.
Again - pure guesswork, based on no actual fact |

| Is that $60 each for Vader and Chirpa? I'd have thought a bit less. I bought the Chirpa figure, card and crushed bubble for $80.
My bubble was crushed to bits so I binned it. Any idea what the card would get alone? |

| My PM was a bit more indepth ( but will remain private ) The cardback collector market is smaller but of late prices have been quite high due to more interest/fresh blood. Ledy cardbacks go for $25-$50 ( or there abouts ) & I believe all these cardbacks are in far better condition & 'rarer' Oli would you sell your Chirpa & cardback for $80 now? Or advertise it for more? Walkie asked me for a value of something else recently- one at $200 sold for $192 the other, well lets say I was WAAAy off (like $800 off ) If we assume sold prices are 75% of initial advertised price I reckon I'll be pretty close |

Is the value here largely due to the bubbles being present? Walkie, its funny cause I bought my TT Chief Chirpa on eBay same time as you and it had a dettached bubble that had been stapled to the card. I seem to recall he had a vader and yoda also so when i saw you had all 3 of them I was worried he had shafted me. But 2 days later it turned up. My bubble was a real mess so i removed the staples and binned it and now only have the card back which is in pretty good condition. Any idea on price of card back alone? |

| @Oli....the staples do look very "vintage" and these bubble were prone to falling off. I have left my staples attached along with the bubble as I consider then original or at least fitted by the retailer. |

Hmm I'm not an expert on these but I wouldnt have thought the staples were original. Possibly added by the retailer. Is there any evidence that this happens with Top Toys? How did you get the figure out then? My bubble was crushed to pieces and split at the bottom with the figure hanging halfway out by the time it got to me so I figured it probably wasnt worth keeping the bubble in that state. |

| Can anyone else here confirm that TT bubbles drop off? I read several topics over on RS about it.

| I have 2 TT cardbacks that almost look like bubbles were never attached to them. |

| No I don't doubt they drop off. They are notorious for that. I'd say the glue was pretty useless and the bubbles frequently come clean off without leaving very much mark at all.
I was just doubting whether the bubbles were stapled to the cards originally at the factories.

My vader is like that, and if i removed the staples the chirpa would be. - Quote :

This is just my option, given that the staples are very aged and the bubble has dropped off with nearly no damaged to the cardback what so ever. |

How did you get your Chirpa out if the staples are still attached? or was there a gap and they were not attached all round? Well I'll keep an eye on how they go on eBay - they look great condition so very interested to see what they go for. |

| I'm sure the staples were not put on from any factory but am also pretty sure they're probably as old as the MOC itself. It's not a secret that Top Toys cardbacks might be the worst sealed MOC in a licensed line. You burp near one and the bubble might fall cleanly off. A shop in Argentina might've seen this happening and just preemptively stapled them. |
