Hi Guys, just want to know your opinion on those cards\figures.

in the hometown of my GF a few stores have several pegs full of them with several keys characters and dirt cheap at 5.99$ a pop.

So far i did not get into anything but vintage and the new vintage lines so i am wondering if they are worth it investment wise? These could fuel my bank so i can buy more real vintage stuff. i can easily cherry pick the best stuff since the interest in this town is zero on this and i know its gonna stay there since i went back to one of the store and bougth the vintage logray i could not afford a few weeks ago, the saga legends are just besides the vintage peg at that store. There is a least close to a hundred figures from what i can see.

what do you think?

cheers!

I think any modern is a poor investment personally. I've seen most the stuff barely retain value , but I'm not the end all be all on this stuff.

This gives you an idea (sorted by price).

Maybe Canadian cards are a bit more expensive?

Personnally I would only pick them up if you want them for your own collection. Very few modern moc's sell for a premium. In general most of the modern moc's can be picked up for less than the original retail price as the number of moc's available is greater than the demand. Odd exceptions include some of the POTF Freeze Frames e.g. Weequay & Sandtrooper, Darth Revan from the anniversary collection. Even many of the so called 'limited edition' or 'exclusive' figures are very easy to find at a cheap price.

The Saga Legends range is made up of re-packaged figures, so demand for these is even less.

As Marco indicated, if they are Canadian issues they may be worth a bit more to US & European collectors, but by the time you factor in postage costs & (if you use it) eBay fees, I still doubt you would make anything out of it.

Check out eBay completed listings for Saga Legends figures. That should give you an accurate idea on current values.

Modern stuff might be worth $1.50 in about 60 years. Wink What they are fucking up with is this, they flood the market with the stuff and dont give it time to actually mature. If Hasbro would stop making new stuff or re-packaging the older toys for say 4-5 years, then sure, it might start being worth something. But its their cash cow so they keep making crap over and over.
