this one is for the guys who cant get enough and keep on watching the movie like me.

i would say i am probably over a 1000 th times, easy since i was able to have the movie at hand.

I have no clue why, i keep watching it over and over like this. I put it on when i am working on something or different situations, even to go to sleep sometimes.

It's definitely the one I've seen most times of the original movies. How many is hard to say. I'm guessing somewhere between 100-200 times. I always watch the original movies during Christmas, it has become a little tradition of mine.

I remember collecting the toys as a child much more than seeing the films. The SW videos I own are well used but I don't think more than 50 times. Perhaps when Junior is a little older we'll get to watch it together.

I honestly don't know how many times I've seen it--I stopped counting in the 80's once it hit video. I think, realistically, I've seen it at least 200 times. I saw it 15 times in the theater between 1977-78. It played for over a year and going to see it was kind of the thing to do when someone had a birthday. They weren't as strict about attendance in those days and I remember at least one occasion where my friends and I stayed for two showings in a row. I got to see it once when it was re-issued in 1980--I remember that vividly.

I had an accident when I was in Jr High and was confined to bed for several months. My Grandparents loaned us a VCR with some tapes, Star Wars being one of them, so I watched it probably at least once a day during that time.

I've also heard it hoards of times--probably more than I've seen it. Before we got a VCR I made a recording of it on cassette tape by placing the condenser mic on my tape recorder next to the speaker on the TV. I would listen to it at night while I went to sleep (along with episodes of Star Trek and Dr Who that I had recorded) or while model building. I have the radio version of it as well.

I got the laser discs when they first came out in the letterboxed format--that was like seeing the movie for the first time all over again--and upgraded to the THX laserdisc set when it arrived which I still have. I migrated to DVD naturally and had the Blu-Ray set pre-ordered though I've only watched it on Blu-ray twice (trying to endure yet another series of idiotic changes) and plan to watch it again this weekend in honor of the anniversary.

Whenever I get a new piece of A/V equipment or whenever I have moved and set everything up Star Wars is what I play to inaugurate it.

I really have no idea how many times I've seen it. However it is not so many times as you would think. I haven't seen the movie in a couple of years. Star Wars is also the movie from the OT that I've seen the least times. When I grew up and saw the OT for the first time my favourite of them were Return Of The Jedi. When I got older that changed to The Empire Strikes Back and it's still my favourite one. Actually I think it's soon time for a Star Wars marathon. I bought the Blu-rays, but haven't watched them.

Obi Wan, being my favorite character and really the movie of the OT that he's in. How many times...? To many to count. Yesterday on cable all 3 of OT were played all day. It turned out to be a great day to work on the house.

I've lost count like most people. However keep in mind that movie is 35yrs old!! If you got a copy on tape in 1982 and have watched it, say, every 2months (6X a year) then over 30yrs you've seen it 180 times!!!

I have no idea how many times I've seen it, maybe one too many, because when I've tried to watch it lately I always fall asleep when Luke and C-3po
goes after R2D2 on Tatooine...

lost count!! but i know it has allways been my favorite out of all the starwars films
