Folks
I got a book for Chrissie called "Obsessed with Star Wars..test your knowledge of a galaxy far far away". It basically is an electronic game book with 2500 questions in it. Each question has an a,b,c or d answer to it, and one of them is the right one .
Anyway I was thinking..maybe I could run a quiz for you all..... Now I realise some people will just wookiepedia the answers if they don't know them etc, which is cool..but we will have a system of 1st 2nd and 3rd points placing to try and keep at least some competition amongst it, you could win a prize at the end of the month or something, once everyones points are tallied up etc.
Anyway that is just some basic ideas, we would have to work out when the best time of day to run each days questions and how many I would do each day etc etc..
I just wanted to throw it out there, to see if enough of you are interested, for me to run such a Quiz

great idea, but not to many questions a day , but you will have to think about the time to post because you aussie guy's are a head of us

Great idea, getting the right time slot will be interesting But looking at chat, quite often we'll have people from 5 different timezones on at once. OK answer to question 1 is 'C' ps. this is a good timeslot for me

I have had a few more ideas about it all..
The quiz will run every second night/day and will begin at a certain time. I will load up ten multiple choice questions..the first 3 people with correct answers, for all ten questions, will get points accordingly...

First: 10 points
Second : 7 points
Third : 5 points

I was also thinking that everyone else who gets all ten right also will get 3 points each..sound like a good idea? This will keep things evener at least and maybe a bit more exciting!
At the end of each round, people will post their points scored and I will add them to a master scoresheet!
All prizes will be coming out of my pocket (something worth around $20)+ normal postage to wherever the winner lives each month! If you want extra postage cover that is upto you

I will also run a picture comp maybe in a seperate thread from the quiz!
The idea is, I will get a pic from the Star Wars universe and cut it up in Photoshop or somewhere. Post pieces of the pic one at a time, until someone guess's the right answer ie what the pic is of! Now the points system will work on on how many pieces have been removed before the answer is given..or We could possibly get a first second and third out of this, if maybe I don't let you know who has won, until at least 3 people have said who or what the picture is of! Agian we don't have to go that far just thought at least it gives more of a chance for points!
The points from this can be added to the points earned in the question quiz thus contributing to your chance to win the monthly prize!

Possibly at the end of the year I could give a grand prize, $25 , Nah at least double the monthly prize, for the years overall winner!

Well we got 5 so far, if Coach is in we just need another 5 and I will get the ball rolling..obviously there can be more than ten participants though so don't be shy

I think five hundred quid sounds about right for this kinda competition (ya tight git) - no this is a great idea Josh, im up for it, you could pixelate some piccy to see if its guessable

Due to my day/night shifts i dont know how the competiton ends (fell asleep twice trying to read that far haha) so i may miss some nights depending how its done

Poke me when i have to do something or if i won lol

btw may be we should do it when it high noon for rob ,so he can answer before dinner,
