| Alright folks, Most of you probably know about my Bespin Luke research and most may know from my previous posts on here and else where about my quest to locate the origin of baggie Bespin Luke's outside the U.S.
Basically in short, in order to get a bagged Bespin Luke you would have only a handful of options, prodominantly U.S chain store catalogue multipacks and a couple of 'Special Offer' sets, however there are some Bagged Bespin Lukes which are almost certainly European in origin, for example one of these is the so called 'China Baggie' Luke. The problem is know one seems to know how the hell you would have got your hands on a European bagged Bespin Luke back in the day.
The other day I found this, this is a website I found on Google years ago and saved it in my favourites as a basic Ledy guide, the other day I found a page I hadn't noticed before, heres the link:
http://www.spnet.ne.jp/~swcoll/05kenner/lukeskywalker_bespin.htm
Notice the 'China Baggie" Luke in apparently a Mailer box, I've never heard of this, and it definately didn't happen as a proof of purchase offer in the U.K otherwise I would have ended up with about ten of them like all the bloody others!
Any thought on this guys, I'm not convinced? |

| I am in no way convinced with the mailer baggie either, I have 2 palitoy issue bespin Lukes in my own baggie collection & to my understanding they only got out via employees pocketing them for re sale or there own kids & in end of line sell off's etc Here are the 2 Palitoy ones I have - Large blue vertical text MIHK Black horizontal text made in China |

A sentence I've been wanting to hear for a long while, but know one seemed compelled to say it. Is this likely to be of similar origin. (not in my collection) Once again it has typical European hallmarks (lightsaber, head sculpt) but different baggie? |

| Yes I have seen one in that baggie style as well but its not a Euro baggie, that one is a US issue Kenner ESB-a baggie, see this (US issue only) baggie guide for further info m8.

Glad to help.
I have a spare palitoy made in Chine one if you have any nice baggies to trade & would like one? |

| Cheers for the link, I've already given it a read which is what initially confused me, as it is classed as U.S. but has the Euro hallmarks, who knows? Thing about that guide is it is only U,S. and doesn't elaborate on non U.S. baggies which I guess in some cases couild possibly be the same as ones issued in the U.S. Either way, you helped me a great deal already chief! - Quote :

| No worries m8 I was at house move just over a year back so feel for you as its a right mare init Not a lot known about UK & Euro issued baggies & I think multi-packs were a US thing exclusively, but I am not sure about that as all info on euro baggies is sketchy at best Try finding history & documented info if you are a dedicated baggie collector |

| I've seen some where lately but cant find it now a China Jawa Baggie with a No COO figure, this same figure I think is classed as the PAL variant, I've also seen in Scards FS thread on RS that his POTF jawas are NO COO.
I also read that Macau Baggies where sent to Meccano to be carded, could the same apply with the Jawa being sent from China to Palitoy for there cards and to Kenner for POTF?
Any one know off the top of there head how to get a Jawa Baggie back in the day?
That could also help explain other Palitoy Baggie's that don't match up with advertised figure offers.

| One jawa baggie came with the land of the jawa's play-set Scott & I "think" another style came in a US issued multi-pack, but there at least 6 know jawa baggie variations, so goodness only knows where the rest originated, but it would be nice to find out |

| Though I no longer collect Jawa baggies, here are the six known versions:
American:
SW-B SW-D ESB-C
Foreign:
Palitoy Land of the Jawas German/European (not to be confused with the fakes sold by BillyBoy) Palitoy version (thin plastic with no text on baggie)
Hope this helps. |
