Just curious if anyone is collecting the new Topps cards I have a few packs already they are done in the same look as the vintage SW ones. http://www.topps.com/star-wars/cards/star-wars-journey-to-the-force-awakens-value-box.html

I'm traumatized with collecting trading cards since none of the ones from my childhood panned out financially...

I'm not sure yet. I love the vintage OPC & Topps cards. And I'm hopeful the new movie brings good things. I'm going to hold off till after the movie comes out.

A spend a lot of time in work messing with the Topps Star Wars card trader on my phone I know they are only digital cards and not real but it's quite addictive and fun when you need to pass a bit of time in work

It's hard to believe but some of these digital cards actually sell for a few hundred dollars on Ebay

People are paying large sums for a digital rendition of the tops cards? That is just crazy to me. I mean at least buy the real cards so you have something physical to hold showing you own it. What happens when the system shorts or something and all of the stuff you own is lost into cyberspace? More power to anyone who wants to spend their money on digital things, but I think I will stick with someone I can actually hold in hand.

As far as the original question, I never really got interested in the cards that much. Baseball and football cards growing up but only a few Star Wars ones and never really got into them much.

You get 25000 free credits per day, that's enough to open 5 packs, that's what I work with, but honestly people do pay $ for cards that are not real :scratch:

Holy crap. I just searched out a few Star Wars trader auction by typing what you said and then hitting sold and sorting highest to lowest. Someone paid close to a grand for some cards with a pink border Han Solo. They paid close to 700 for a Luke with pink border. These are digital pictures with borders around them. I am sure if you want to pay me a grand I can find all sorts of its on the net for you and put borders around it. I thought some of the toy prices were crazy, but at least we have actual things we can touch and not just a picture that I can find on the net somewhere.

Man this is unreal one I just seen a digital one that has 2 bids is already at $14 I wonder what the real card is worth as I already have two of them. maybe I should put the one up for sale that has the credits to get digital ones lol.

I think those pink cards, there is only 10 of each, with thousands using app that's a rare digital card, but the app won't go on for ever, what do you get back when it finishes ? There on Ebay for big prices which most laugh at, but the odd crazy pays it, Maddness  
Do you know Topp's sells some of the pink cards for £80 in the store in the app(not sure what US is) and you get a random one from over hundred at least, but people buy them, Madness
I enjoy the app, but stick to my free credits each day
