LILI LEDY VARIATIONS:
The LL Han Solo Trench Coat wears a trench coat made from a thicker fabric and with a different colored camouflage pattern. There might be different versions of the LL trench coat? If so pls post some side-by-side pics of the different coats.
Edit: Yesterday a new Han Solo arrived (thanks Jason!). The trench coat of this Han looks a bit different. The coat has reddish brown instead of dark brown 'spots' but is made from the same 'rough' fabric. The coat itself is more reddish too. Somehow it looks like the fabric with the brown spots was washed once, causing the red dye in these spots to be distributed all over the coat, giving it its reddish appearance. Something similar happens when you wash your new red T-shirt with your white ones at a too high temperature, and you end up with a lot of pink shirts. . The two different versions of the coat are also shown on the site of a Japanese collector, strengthening my belief they are really small factory variations. These small variations might be due to Lili Ledy's apparent sloppy quality control ("brown or reddish spots, who cares"), and not be considered real variations, I like them nevertheless. BTW: anybody knows this Japanese collector, he has a huge haul of Lili Ledy stuff.

Thats just wrong! Common mistake on the LL Ackbar! The light red head and shiny arms is pictured in many Ledy guides....but its a normal production figure you can get every day on ebay ! The true Ledy Ackbar is prety unspectacular and I think thats the reason why always this certain variant is called Ledy...but its wrong!
The one pictured could be a ledy....not sure...and to lazy to search mine to compare! Its a pretty tricky figure...but it looks good from mind!

Wolff..... I have it MOC on LL card, have the LL loose one from my childhood collection and also have seen many many (literally hundreds) of them here in Mexico, where I live and also the best place where you can find LL ackbars.... trust me, the ackbar pictured is not LL......

The Lili Ledy Ackbar is one of the toughest figure to distinguish from its Kenner counterpart. Teebo might be the other one. So I very much welcome a discussion about this figure here in this thread. However I have some concerns how the discussion tends to develop right now. We learn much more from an open unbiased discussion where everybody:
tries not to present their own viewpoint as the absolute truth (even in case one is 100% sure about that ),
respects the other's viewpoint, and
tries to provide some evidence (pictures, links) to support their own point of view.
Just my thoughts to stimulate more open (and i.m.o. better) discussions from which we can learn much more in the end.
Ok sofar my serious moment - too long already - , let's continue!

About the ledy han solo coat variation's i have both. There was pic's and disscussion about it at the convention in Mexico city,Mexico back in fall. It's somewhere here on the thread's on TIG were it was disscussed.

DIFFERENCES:
The Lili Ledy Klaatu has an unique COO according to the guide. However the differences between the LL COO (no. 5 in the COO guide shown above) and COO no. 3 are very subtle.
The LL Klaatu has: - a brighter green skin of head and hands - matt darker brown instead of glossy lighter brown armour - darker silver helmet - glossy instead of matt black boots - a thicker genuine Bantha fur instead of imitate fur - in addition there might be a bit more space between the head and the body (you can see this clearly on the pics). Somehow this occurs frequently for Ledy Klaatus.
LILI LEDY VARIANTS:
The LL Klaatu also came with a flat fur.
In addition the fur can have a leather or cotton belt.
So in total there are four combinations: - thick fur, leather belt - thick fur, cotton belt - flat fur, leather belt - flat fur, cotton belt
Lili Ledy Klaatus: Thick fur with cotton belt (left) or leather belt (right)
Lili Ledy Klaatus: Thick fur with cotton belt (left) or leather belt (right)

DIFFERENCES:
Compared to his Kenner brother, the LL TIE Fighter Pilot has: - glossy instead of matt black paint - reddish instead of orange buttons on the armour - bold face Imperial emblems on helmet and shoulders. The emblems on the shoulders are oriented differently (similar as is the case for the Ledy AT-ST driver)
The Lili Ledy TIE Fighter pilot has an unique COO according to the guide (no. 6 in the COO guide shown above). The "MADE IN HONK KONG" on the right leg is partially removed in this COO. The extent of the scar can vary however, giving rise to different sub COOs in which different parts of "MADE IN HONG KONG" are still visible. Apart from the different sub COOs, the Ledy figures look all the same.
The scar in the TFP COO was probably made by putting little pieces of metal on top of "Made in Hong Kong" in the steel mould. I can imagine at first instance everything was covered (COO 6B) but during production some metal pieces loosened and got lost giving rise to 6C and finally 6A.
The other possibility would be that 6A, 6B and 6C represent different steel moulds which were used in parallel during production.
ACCESSORIES The LL TIE Fighter pilot carries a solid black pilot blaster which has a different mould compared to its Kenner counterpart. The Ledy pilot blaster can have a little "I" or "L".

There also exists a green version of the LL cape version.
EDIT: A few weeks ago a Luke Jedi with green cape was listed on ebay together with a Madine staff and black palace blaster. No need to tell that these were not the Luke Jedi accessories I was looking for, it looked suspicious. Besides the Mexican seller had zero feedback. You can imagine I heard the alarm bells all over the place.
I decided to contact the seller nevertheless and asked for additional pictures and some background about this particular figure. The guy responded swiftly, and from the pictures it was clear that the black blaster had the Ledy mould, and the green cape seemed to be made from the same fuzzy material as Luke Jedi’s burgundy cape. He told me that this figure was part of his childhood collection and had come came with these accessories (Madine staff + black gun). It would be consistent with Ledy’s sloppy quality control of which there are many examples: think filled peg holes, Boba with removable Rocket, wrongly welded Jawas, etc. You can imagine I got more and more convinced this might be the real deal indeed.
I did a final check with Ozio. He told me that some people remembered that their childhood Luke Jedi came with a 'strange' white lightsaber. I was totally convinced now. I bought the figure and here he is together with his Mexican brother.
Many thanks to the friendly seller and Ozio!!! I am happy having ignored the red alarms this time!
