Hey TIGers!
Beth and I celebrated our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary today! Since we are big sports and Cubs fans we decided to spend the day watching the Chicago Cubs play the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Cubs lost... as usual. Blew the game in the last inning!
We made a sign to try to get us on TV... but it didn't work. At least that's what our friends and family said who were at home watching the game.
After the game we hung around the player parking lot hoping some of the players would see our sign, and come over and autograph it for us!
After waiting 2 hours (in 95 degree heat)... players came out, saw our sign, waved and left! I guess they were all in a crabby mood after the bad loss!!!
A couple minutes later, the Cubs starting first baseman, Derek Lee came out. Read our sign as he was opening his car door, started his air conditioning, then walked over to wish us a happy anniversary and autographed our sign.
Not to long after that, Alan Trammell, the Cubs assistant coach and future Hall of Fame shortstop for the Detroit Tigers road over to us on his scooter to wish us a happy anniversary and sign our poster as well!!!
Over all it turned out to be a fun day!!!!
Just wanted to share!!!
