Vintage tech question.Everyone Chime in i need opionion's,Lot's.

I have a Lili Ledy C3PO beater i want to take completely apart but not damage or breaking it.

I have taken the screw out of it's back it was real easy.

The figure still won't come apart what is the secret to dissasemble one of these?

Second question are these snapped together like a one time deal once their put together they don't come apart ,and if you do take em apart they snap the internal's and it won't ever stick back together tightly?

I need full scale help here i'm up to something cool.

Dan....seen this mentioned before but whats a 'beater' or is it as it seems 'a figure thats pretty much beaten up' ?? tony

a beater figure is something beat.like broken limb's, missing part's,paint removed exsessively.like a broken down car basically a beater is something not worth selling or fixing.

I'm a mechanic though i fix shit.

I have a Liliy Ledy C3PO in perfect shape body wise it has it's finish removed though.

I need to get it apart without breaking it, i think it might be sonic welded.


I need some one with experience that have taken a few of these apart sucsesfully so they can pass the inside trade secret to me.

I found a gold plater that's going to 24K plate this sucker Gold for me Bling Bling.I bet no one has done that before.

actually somebody did , in silver gold and white gold ,they tried to sell it in the swfuk classifeids not to long ago

i have never tried to take a fig apart so i cant help you there sorry bud

Like I said in chat, if it's sonic welded, there is no way to get it apart without breaking the figure. Then once it's done, there's no way to get it back together other than gluing it back together.

Honestly, if you want to gold plate it, your best bet would be to use a Removable Limbs 3PO. That way everything can fit back together.

Jimmy someone already had this idea and it was already done.so it's not an original idea someone beat me to it?

I'm having mine plated in real 24K gold not fake plastic paint,and it is a Ledy.

I was thinking maybe it would be a great hood ornament.Or how about add it to a chain bling bling.

I see the dude did'nt plate a Ledy though, so i will be taking that honor first he has Kenner's

I'll have to one up this plating in gold i'll have to add jewel's next What do you think i should use for the eye's little diamond's or what?

I have a 30 in. figaro 6mm chain link 14K.14K nugget ring,and watch.whadda think a little bling bling.

I think My C3po will look cool on it,put some ice in for is eye's.
