Well just finished another part... this is a fake ladder tube to make it appear as if it's going up into the gun turrets. Due to the problems between the sets and the actual model, it's impossible, but it does simulate the movie quite well. Lemme know what you think.
This will replace the whole hallway they provide (#1 in the picture below)
@mat8yr Mat, that's cool you found another. Any chance you can PM me new pics of your #1 Yoda belt please. I need a good front shot of the whole belt and the same for the reverse side. Thanks.
Another difference I just noticed is that the "pin" part of the clasp of #1 belt (the one without the edge bumps) is longer and it has two levels. It sticks out when its closed.
Also. I bought another Yoda that arrived today that has the #1 belt too, so that's two instances of this belt now. The only difference is that the paint on the back of the saber attachment goes up to the belt in the same diagonal pattern.
If you need further images for the guide, just let me know.
Again I was just cataloguing my Yoda's and I can't quite pinpoint the versions of these:
I think #1 is a thin v3 belt because it has the EPM on either side of the saber attachment, except that it doesn't have the "raised dashed line" around the edge of the belt at all - new variant perhaps?
#2 is cool because it's slightly transluscent in color probably due to a reaction to light over the years - I think it might be a v2 except for the bumps + good paint coverage on the inside/back of the saber attachment. Also it also has a much larger hole on the back of the saber attachment compared to the v2's on the guide - again, new variant?
#3 is a brighter brown than #2 (you can see the color differences in the last picture) - I suspect this really is a v2 although there are no traces of silver paint on the inside of the saber attachment and it shows no signs of other wear, but the mould is a v2. Its also very slightly thicker than #2 (which I can only tell when I hold them together but it's impossible to photograph)
I have a number of pilot weapons (all original from Tie and Cloud Car Pilot figures) in my collection and I was trying to document their versions with the TIG guide last week.
I realised a few things: 1) that the "thin tip" blaster is not a "thin tip" at all, it's the entire blaster that's thinner - see side-by-side picture below. 2) there are so many variations (from just two figures?) that I don't think they are actual variations. I think there is a thin & a thick blaster mould (different factories maybe?), then they loaded in different plastic compounds over time that means the weapons differ slightly in color (should this be considered a variation?).
The reason I think this is because I have 4 blasters (two are the same) so I pictured the three different ones.
I think my #1 is a v2, my #2 is a v3 (but I'm not certain), but my #3 is odd because it doesn't have a raised EPM (although it does have extra flashing around the bottom of the EPM) so it's not a v6, and it's dark grey so it's not a v1 either - is it new variation maybe or just a different color version of a v1? (+ a messed up sight end)
What do you guys think?
Thin vs Thick weapon (not just the tip) (don't ask how I got them to stand up!)
Comparisons
This is the #3 (thin blaster) to show the flush EPM but with extra flashing remaining on the bottom side of the EPM, definately flush on the top side though
A Both my #1 is Mould family II (single line LFL 1980) has the head ridge, the corresponding no CoO that I have do not. I would 'assume' as there are mould pairs this would include heads. But I suspect it is only found with this mould family. So dot & no dot is the body 'pair' head pair is ridge or no ridge.
Ok this has been driving me crazy for a while but I’ve finally plucked up the courage to mention it.
The mould family guide has 3 heads for FX-7 but not the one below. This one has an extra ridge on the tapered section which runs around the head. I’ve noticed the post above by AJ where he calls this figure #1 so is this a well known variant as I’ve not seen it documented anywhere? I have four examples 2 are COO II 1b and 2 are COO II 2a.
I’m sure I’m missing something obvious but my insanity is blinding me.
Hi guys, this Darth turned up today, right i will let you know i got him from the well known auction site, also the seller has only sold about 12 items in the last 6 months and nothing else was star wars, he also claimed he had this from years ago (i have no reason to believe different) so the only background info is it was bought in the uk years ago.
Whilst looking him up i noticed the figure has lot of pros leading me towards the poche figure shown in wolffs VV poche guide, obviously i am not saying it is but i need to clarify what he is for my own sanity. I will try and make this simple and have tried to take the pics i can. first is the pros list-
PROS.
1.He is alot duller and his limbs are a violet color all exactly like wolff describes.(again i tried to show the color difference it shows in 1 of the pics slightly) 2.He has a rough molded head with loads of dimples/dots and these are in various places on his torso as well, also his epm on the back of his head has a sloppy cut away mark.(again in the pics) 3. his torso does not match up when it was sonic welded it has left a "lip" where he was badly made. he is original and this is definetly factory sonic welding. ( in the pics) 4. the saber that came with him is identical to the pbp version color and everything. it is bendy and also has the flashing all around it. 5. lastly the corner of his cape is different to my others the #3/4 kenners are sharp corners,#2 kenner is very round, but his is inbetween and also wider? 6. he also has flashing around his hand and the oversized thumb, and the saber hand is way up the hilt, very wonky foot etc...
CONS.
1. apart from the bad torso welding and raised dimple/dots all over he does'nt have any melt marks or a penis? 2. his coo is V1(1a) in wolffs 3.0 guide but this does not state poch or not? and is not the known pbp variant? 3. the cape has the normal zipping kenner feel.
The only reason i question him is because he was filthy when igot him and looks all original (nothing replaced) and obviously with the saber fig and cape all having these traits.....you can guess
Any input would be much appreciated guys, would like to hear from Bill on this if possible as well
Order of appearance #1 ??? new fig , #2 kenner coo , # 3 kenner, # 4 childhood kenner/shared ( The new fig/ saber etc is always the one to the left the first the first shown)
He also has the gimpy leg
i am pest but without your help i dont know where he goes in my collection!!!
- Stan Lee: At my first "big" convention in Philadelphia 5 or 6 years ago, I bought a meet and greet with Stan Lee where I was able to get a picture and autograph on one of my books. Really cool guy, but you can see that he's exhausted from the events he does. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore (Creators of the Walking Dead): I was out getting lunch in the city during the time the NYC convention was going on. Strolling down the block I recognized Robert Kirkman and he was totally cool with chatting and taking a picture. Since then, I've run into him a few more times for pictures and autographs. The latter two (Moore, Adlard) were met inside the convention center. I donated to Adlard's charity and in return he signed some books and took a picture. Same with Moore (picture, autograph) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Todd McFarlane (Creator of Spawn, the king of early 1990's Spider-Man, Image): I was lucky enough to draw a ticket in which I got a meet and greet. He was a really nice guy and took the time to ask how my convention was going, signed a few of my key books and then took a picture. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Mike Mignola (Creator of Hellboy): During a cross country work road trip from N.J. to San Diego this past summer for the San Diego Con, my biggest goal was to meet Mignola, which I did. Nice guy (to me at least) but looks like he'll be able to switch in a minute's notice if you ask too many questions or take up too much of his time. As a side note, he only attends San Diego Con, so it was a really big deal since I wouldn't be able to catch him anywhere else nearby. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Neal Adams (Famous DC artist, primarily Batman): I hung out with Neal and his wife at their booth for about an hour at a winter convention. I left to get a coffee and he asked me to get him one as well and then we talked for some more. Really down to earth guy and he gave me a nice price on a Batman commission for a friend. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Chris Claremont (the writer and savior of X-Men, co-wrote "#1 best selling comic of all time"): I was down in Asbury Park, N.J. for their convention and Chris Claremont was headlining it.. literally. They wouldn't open the doors until his car pulled up, we (or at least whoever recognized him) watched him walk into the building and then they opened the doors 2 minutes later. I went to his booth and he asked me how I liked his new (at the time) series for Nightcrawler. I told him I enjoyed it, and he said he hadn't even seen the finished product yet. He then proceeded to hand me $4 and told me to see if I could pick an issue up for him. Pretty cool errand!
- Various other artists/ comic celebs: Jim Cheung, J.Scott Campbell, Herb Trimpe, Charlie Adlard, Bob Layton, Jim Lee..forgetting some. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I think it was two years ago now where the Walker Stalker Convention (Walking Dead) stopped in NJ for their NJ/NY show. I met a lot of the cast and took pictures with almost all of them. I'll just use their television character names for who I've met: Glenn, Daryl, Hershel, T-Dog, Tyreese, Merle, Shane, Abraham.
Michael Cudlitz (Abraham) was new to the show and we had a conversation about how long he thinks he would last.
Jon Bernthal (Shane or.. The Punisher!) was nice enough to have a conversation. I asked him how the transition was from TV to film, what projects were next, etc. The picture with him came out blurry (courtesy of the handler) and he was nice enough to take another one.
Michael Rooker (Merle) was on crack...had to be. I don't think he knew where he was, but he was mentally all over the place.
Steven Yeun and Norman Reedus were quick hi's and hello's, but seemed nice. I think Reedus, when realizing how long the lines were for him (about 500 people deep), started passing out snacks and water. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Sports:
I went to the Philadelphia Eagles training camp one year in Bethlehem, P.A. (when they had it there) and after their last practice of the year, the entire team, coaching staff, etc. came and shook everyone's hands individually. Pretty cool!
When the "first cold weather Super Bowl" came to N.J., my job hosted a Super Bowl party and I was lucky enough to be one of two people to take care of and hangout with Jerry Rice and his family, Tiki Barber, Brandon Jacobs and Eli Manning for a few hours. JR's superbowl ring almost blinded me. Eli was kind of dragging. Like, hangover dragging. Everyone was super down to Earth.
Kevin Boss (TE for the Giants and I think the Raiders afterward) used to work out at the gym that I went to, and also shopped at the local GameStop.
Brook Lopez (Brooklyn Nets) shops at my local comic book shop
John Cena, Kane (WWE) both stopped into the gym for a workout during a visit to the Meadowlands. They were nice guys, but I didn't want to interrupt their routine too much.
Great statues. I've done pre-orders before and there's nothing worse than a statue being pushed back a couple months. Damn the anticipation!!!
I was going to get the Fett after seeing it in a store, but instead I may be getting a Punisher. Haven't decided because it's really similar to the Deadpool I have.. may just wait entirely.
Another awesome comic. Is your entire collection CGC? Did you used to own raw and then upgraded them through the years?
I've been collecting Marvel for 8 years now and I'm addicted to the buy/sell/trade market.
The only comics I won't sell are the ones I've received as gifts/ my Dad gave to me. Especially Iron Man #1 signed by Stan Lee. That was the one to activate every collecting bone in my body.
Some sweet issues being shared. Thanks Johnny for sharing. Is the groot, iron man, and what I think is starlord also hot toys? I want hot toys but they would seriously eat into my budget. I went after the first appearance of Ian man but he kept eluding me. Also wish I had hulk 1 and fantastic four 1 but they were to much for me. Had a chance at the ff1 once but like an idiot purchased some other stuff instead. Batman has always been my favorite though so I am more into dc.
This is going to be one of my favorite threads on here now I think.
Hulk #1 may be the hardest to get now out of all of the #1's.. especially in worthwhile condition. I mean, it would be cool to own any of the silver holy grails in any condition though!
Hot Toys get expensive and the statue market is rough. Not an easy sell compared to comic books..at least at mom and pop comic shops. Luckily payment plans are an option and make things manageable.
I have hoods with 1,2,3,4 (no CoO). 5,6,7 & 8 have the pin ( Taiwan versions) Horns with semi circle 'sprue' point : E,F,G,H(Taiwan) small sprue point- A,B,C,D.(no CoO)

Paploo COO #1: COO area without country of origin, copyright, and datestamp.
PAINT VARIATIONS:
Small Variations:
Eyes, nose, mouth: Paploo appears with light grey and dark grey eyes, nose and mouth (see pic below). Probably these small paint differences are due to small batch to batch variations in the Paploo line.
Comparison between Paploo figures. Light grey (left) and dark grey (right) eyes, nose, and mouth.
Belt: Paploo can also appear with two different shades of orange for the belt: dark and bright orange (see pic below).
Paploo with bright orange belt (left) and dark orange belt (right).
The bright orange belt might be caused by discolouration of the dark orange belt (or the other way around). Look at the two Paploos below. The right Paploo has the dark orange belt. The left Paploo has a belt which seems to be composed of patches of dark and bright orange. This is easy to spot when looking at the knife and at the back.
The left Paploo has a 'transition' belt with patches of bright and dark orange. The right Paploo has the original dark orange belt.
The left Paploo has a 'transition' belt with patches of bright and dark orange. The right Paploo has the original dark orange belt.
It seems that the left Paploo is the ‘missing link’ between figures having a dark and bright orange belt. For sure Lili Ledy would not apply two different colours of paints for the belt. So this is a strong indication for discolouration. There are many other examples of discoloured figures, so this case is not be unique.
ACCESSORIES
HOOD: Small paint differences of the feathers are possible, probably reflecting small batch to batch variations. It might also be due to discolouration.
Small Variations: The small paint differences between the different Lumat figures which can be seen in the picture below are due to small batch to batch variations in the Lumat line. - Mouth and nose: matt / glossy grey-blue paint - Eyes: matt / glossy black paint
Comparison between Lumat figures. From left to right: Lumat A, B, C.
- Lumat A. Matt black eyes. Glossy grey-blue mouth and nose - Lumat B. Matt black eyes. Matt grey-blue mouth and nose paint - Lumat C. Glossy black eyes. Matt grey-blue mouth and nose

QUIVER:
Small paint differences between different quivers are possible, probably reflecting small batch to batch variations.
Comparison between Lumat quivers. From left to right: Quiver A, B, C, D.
- Quiver A. Arrow points fully painted in glossy creamy-white - Quiver B: Arrow points partly painted in glossy creamy-white - Quiver C: Arrow points fully painted in matt white - Quiver D: Arrow points partly painted in glossy creamy-white.
NOTES
ALL Lumats were produced by Lili Ledy in Mexico, so also including the ones which appeared on non Ledy cards. (Made in Mexico, POTF, and Trilogo).
In the comparison pictures shown above, a Kenner counterpart is therefore lacking.
Small differences can be observed for the Lumat figures and accessories: - Mouth and nose: matt / glossy grey-blue paint - Eyes: matt / glossy black paint - Quiver: arrow points fully/partially painted in bright/creamy white
These small paint differences between the Lili Ledy figures are due to small batch to batch variations in the Lumat line.
COO guide for Imperial Commander: COO no. 4 is shared by Ledy and Kenner.
NOTE: Unfortunately I could not make comparison pics with a Kenner figure sharing COO no. 4 as I don't have this figure in my collection. Pics were therefore taken with COO no. 1, which can be regarded the 'ancestor' of COO no. 4.

DIFFERENCES: Compared to the Kenner figure with COO #1, the Ledy Imperial Commander has: - a slightly tanned face - light brown instead of dark brown eyes and eyebrows - lighter brown hair which is longer at the back - a curved left thumb. REMARK: keep in mind that the Kenner figure with COO #4 also has this curved thumb, as the same steel moulds were used by Kenner and Lili Ledy for this figure. See AJ's pic on page 3 of this thread, where a comparison is made with Kenner figures having the exact same COO (#4) as the Ledy figure.
ACCESSORIES The Ledy Imperial Commander wears a solid black imperial blaster having a different mould (V6 or V7) compared to the Kenner blasters. Was the Imperial Commander also packaged with a blue blaster?
Lili Ledy solid blue and solid black imperial blasters. Top row: V7 mould. Bottom row: V6 mould. (Pic provided by Ozio).
DIFFERENCES: Compared to her Kenner counterpart, the Lili Ledy Leia Boushh has - darker more glossy brown pants, torso, and arms. - darker brown hair, eyes, and eye brows. - a face which is sculpted in a glossy slightly tanned plastic instead of pinkish plastic.
PAINT VARIATIONS:
Small Variations: Small variations occur with respect to: - the darkness of the brown paint used for the pants, torso, and arms: dark brown (figures 3,4 in the pics below) and very dark brown (figure 5). - the details of the eyes and eye brows.
Leia Boushh COO#2: From left to right: 1 (Kenner), 2 (Ledy), 3 (Ledy), 4 (Ledy). The Kenner figure was included to visualize the colour differences of the brown pants, torso, and arms. Light brown (1), dark brown (2+3), very dark brown (4).
Lili Ledy Boushh figures. From left to right we see figures 2,3, and 4 from the pic above.
ACCESSORIES
RIFLE: The Ledy Boushh came with rifle which is made from the same mould as one of its Kenner counterparts. The only difference is that the plastic of the Ledy rifle seems to be matt.
HELMET: The Ledy Boushh helmet has the same mould as Kenner's Hong Kong helmet. The Ledy helmet is cast in a bit duller orange plastic compared to the Kenner helmets. In addition the grey paint on top is a bit more silver like. The Ledy helmets have little letters inside. ´F´, ´G´ or ´H´ have been confirmed for Ledy sofar. Remember, also Kenner Hong Kong helmets have letters inside ('B', 'C', 'F', ...), so this is not a distinctive Ledy trait!! It just means - as stated before - that the same steel moulds were used to produce these helmets.
The Lili Ledy Boushh helmet also appears unpainted. This is a rare overstock helmet.
Ledy Boushh with unpainted Ledy overstock helmet
Ledy Boushh with unpainted Ledy overstock helmet
REMARK: The unpainted helmet is Ledy overstock. It has the same colour as the Ledy production helmet (which differs from the colour of the Kenner helmet). Moreover there are no signs of paint stripping. The surface of the helmet is very smooth and glossy. If you like you can read more about unpainted Boushh helmets in this thread.
SOME BACKGROUND ON HELMETS IN GENERAL: Some general background about the differences between Hong Kong and Taiwan type moulds of the Boushh helmet. Both helmets in the pics below are Kenner.
Prune Face COO #1: Kenner (left), Lili Ledy (right).
DIFFERENCES: Compared to his Kenner counterpart, the Ledy Prune Face has: - A darker more pinkish skin on face and hands. - A darker orange eye - Darker green pants (when comparing to other Kenner figures which don’t have discolored pants like the one in the picture above ). - Darker green boots and belt
PAINT VARIATIONS:
Small Variations: The small paint differences between the Prune Face figures which can be seen in the picture below are due to small batch to batch variations in the Prune Face line: - Orientation of the eye: Can differ among figures, compare the middle to the right figure (similar like observed for Kenner’s Hammerhead). - Eye patch: Can be matt or glossy, compare the middle figure (matt patch) to the right figure (glossy patch). This is typical for Ledy. The appearance of matt and glossy black paint is also observed for other LL figures like Biker Scout (arms, legs) General Madine (boots), AT-ST driver (belt, boots), Leia Endor (boots).
RIFLE: Prune Face came with a Western style V1 mould rifle. The mould is not unique for Ledy as it was also used by Kenner. The main difference is the colour of the used plastic: reddish brown (Lili Ledy) vs brown (Kenner).
REMARK: In TIG’s reference guide the V3 mould (see below) has been uniquely linked to Lili Ledy. This is wrong IMO, and should be updated. EDIT: Confirmed by OZIO.
CLOAK: The Ledy Prune Face carries a cloak which is made from a thicker felt like fabric compared to Kenner’s. Therefore the Ledy cloak does not bend as easily as the Kenner cape does There are two cloak variants differing in colour and cross hatch pattern of the used fabric (see pic below).
NOTE: COO #1 and #2 differ only in very subtle ways with respect to the exact position of the symbols in “ L.F.L. 1983”. To be honest the differences are that subtle, I don’t even see them . Wolff? Anyway, clearly these COOs belong to the same COO family and do not indicate any mould differences. IMPORTANT: The Lili Ledy Klaatu Skiff Guard appears with COO #2 (and COO #1), which were both used by Kenner as well.
DIFFERENCES: Compared to his Kenner counterpart, the Ledy Klaatu Skiff Guard has: - A lighter brown collar plate, belt, and pouch - Lighter brown boots (though they can also be darker, see further below) - A less tanned helmet - A darker green skin on face and hands
PAINT VARIATIONS:
Major Variations: The LL Klaatu Skiff Guard has two major variations, with either a black or unpainted ("white") hood. The Kenner version has a brown hood (see the pics above).
Small Variations: The black hood Klaatu has been confirmed with lighter brown boots (see pics above) and darker brown boots (see pic below)
AFA graded Lili Ledy Klaatus: Unpainted (“white”) hood with light brown boots (left), Black hood with dark brown boots (right). Pic made by Hutthunter.
ACCESSORIES
VIBROBLADE: The LL Klaatu Skiff Guard carries a darker grey vibroblade which is made from a different mould compared to its Kenner counterpart. The Ledy vibroblade has a thicker blade and top compared to Kenner. In addition the Ledy vibroblade can have a small "A" or "B", but also appears w/o any letter.
